Sen. Jim Webb has already put out a statement...
Guess we'll find out if Harry Reid is crazy or just plain stupid.
Hi Mr. Mod,
I am one who believes that the health care issue is a symptom of a much larger issue. I am probably old fashioned but when folks run for congress they are asking to be hired to represent the voters of their state in the federal government. Then, once they get there, that is their job, to represent the voters in their home state....just that plain and simple.
Well damnit, if 2/3 of the voters in your district or state are for or opposed to any piece of legislation, isn't it their job to vote accordingly?
I feel that health care is a symptom, almost 90% of the public was opposed to the TARP bill, probably the vast majority is opposed to bringing the terrorists to New York for trial, and we could go on and mention the regulations and czars that have been forced down the throats of the American people against their will.
My thought tonight was this was a victory for the Constitution and representative government which is why I made the post about Kerry. Hell his home state made it very clear how they felt about health care in particular. So does he represent those who hired him to do just that, or does he give them the finger and follow the special interests? We both know which way he will likely go and I would love to help the person running against him in the next election if he decides to run.
