What if they finally rounded up the votes for cloture - but then didn't have the votes to make it happen? After all this hoopla and circus.
Trying to keep up with who's where at this point is seemingly impossible. I know some are going to vote for cloture then vote against the bill, any ideas who? or how many?
Probably Ben Nelson's one of them, attempting an old trick.
He can campaign in 2012 on the idea that he voted against the bill.
However, that's a stale old trick; people are going to remember that he made passage of the bill possible by voting for cloture.
We'll see how that plays in Nebraska.

2. I believe a Bill will pass the Senate and go to the House for conciliation
After that all it takes is fifty one in the Senate and 218 in the House. I believe it will pass and Democrats will celebrate heartily. In a couple of years when all the details begin to become clear democrats will get a tremendous thumping at the polls. I do not believe it will lower costs nor will it guarantee Health Insurance to most. I believe many are going to lose their current Insurance for several reasons. Employers will decide they no longer can afford to buy insurance and know that the government will pick up their slack with subsidies. When that happens the red ink will flow as much as under a Republican administration..Insurance Companies are already saying late on your payment and you get dropped immediately. Over fifty and you pay three times more than others. Existing condition, pay three times more or even higher. Remember existing condition can be as little as acne.
