U.S. Counting on Cows to Reduce Carbon Emissions

AP

U.S. Secretary Tom Vilsack announced an agreement with the American dairy industry Tuesday to reduce the industry's greenhouse gas emissions 25 percent by 2020, mostly by convincing farmers to capture the methane from cow manure that otherwise would be released into the atmosphere.

...

There are more than 60,000 dairy farms with about 9 million dairy cows in the United States...

You know, hunters in general, and in specific (think Buffalo Bill Cody) have been greatly villified by PETA potheads...I think we could make a good case for the "early environmentalists" that discovered the great danger represented by bovines and their emissions...and worked tirelessly to save the earth!!   :o

Some people have already made a very nice living out of turning cow shit into electricity...

Once again, the private sector has already found a solution... leave it to gov't to fawk it up.
