Should be some good ruckuses in the future with NU.

It's all good.

To me, Turner Gill was the best football player ever, anywhere.

The guy was sheer 100% unadulterated pure Confidence.

Some appear to already be disgruntled about the choice.

Some Kansas fans have started a fireturnergill web-site.

Heh, well...I guess it is akin to Colt McCoy becoming OU's head coach in about 20 years.

Actually, I think Turner Gill's going to be good for Kansas.

They got a gem there.

Some people will never support him. They'll always be the naysayers no matter how successful he is at KU.

They do that in the Big 12 too? The firehoustonnutt domain was registered approximately 2.33345 nanoseconds after he was hired.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Yeah.

The main complaint seems to be Turner Gill's record at the University of Buffalo, which has hardly been stellar, but such critics forget that Gill was out of his milieu at Buffalo.

Turner Gill is a midwestern sort of guy, not an easterner.

Some years ago, when I had a Russian refugee living at my house in Lincoln, one day he came in after having sat in a motor vehicle with someone outdoors, talking for a long time, and out of curiosity I asked him what was going on.  The motor vehicle had University of Nebraska license plates.

The day was cold and rainy, and a passing motorist had offered him a ride home.

Then the kid mentioned the motorist was "Turner Gill" (then an assistant coach at Nebraska), as if it was "Joe Smith" or "Mike Brown."

Turner Gill has been very active in Christian organizations, from which I'm sure he derives much of his well-founded confidence.

I'm not sure, but I guess it's possible Kansas fans who don't care for Turner Gill are simply turned off by his connections to Nebraska, nothing more than that.
