In today's paper: vegetarians are "ANTI GOD", and people should "repent" and vote Republican.

From the comment section on this page:

http://www.dailylocal.com/articles/2009/12/02/opinion/s...

The samples referred to in my subject line:

"Sandy, let us not forget the REASON the animals were put on the earth to begin with- NOT to watch over, but to EAT.

Maybe some of these outspoken ANTI GOD people would (not) agree with me, but I do believe the bible made THAT clear."

" - Tex "This was not what they expected." . . . Change we can believe in, yes we can. All you dopes who voted for the liberal socialists last fall? Told ya so. Repent, and vote Republican, or be lost. "

Welcome to southeastern Pennsylvania.

1. Well the bible says "dominion"

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. - Genesis 1:26

Dominion means that animals are our subjects. Kind of a King/Subject relationship if you will.

Now how many Kings eat their subjects?

If a King did eat their subjects, what would you think of that King?

Granted - I am an Atheist and a Meat Eater - and I know full well I'm a hypocrite

6. Even more amusing

The bible tells Adam and Eve to be vegetarian:

Genesis 1:29 - "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat." (for meat = for food)

Genesis 1:30 - "And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." (sounds like man and animal were treated equally here--both instructed to eat plants "for meat"/for food)

That's KJV, no less. Quote that to the bible-thumping meat-eaters and watch their heads explode

That's the only answer people like that ever deserve.

8. Here's what Tex said:

"A year ago, many of my friends were looking for change. Now that a year has passed, they have all removed their Obama/Biden stickers. Two have lost their jobs and another one may lose his job. This was not what they expected."

10. Like they would have their jobs with McCain?

Seriously. Those jobs might actually come with O in a few years. The investments have been put down...if they come to anything we'll see.

I live in a pretty secluded and rural corner of the world so may not be fair to say but I don`t think I have ever seen anyone push what diet they live off except vegetarians.
Not all of them of course but there is a certain element that wants to be in your face about it.
Never saw anyone who eats meat do that.
It becomes almost a bizarre obsession to some.

You should've kept reading.

Quote
Genesis 9
1And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

2And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

3Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.

4But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.

They also miss the parts where a lamb is sacrificed and eaten in a lot of Jewish rituals.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

Unless it helps them make a point about barbarism or whatever nonsense they're preaching.  You know, the whole selective reading thing.

Well, you would have thought they really would have taken care to read that one a little more carefully.  I am surprised the potheads don't have that one highlighted.
