Last Christmas, I shipped my daughter a present through the Postal Service. The carrier never ONCE attempted delivery to the door and she lives in the city. When I complained to the Post Office that I had to come into town to pick up the package that I had been anxiously awaiting (a new video card), it was explained to me that the Post Office wasn't required to deliver it to the door because I was on a "rural route". All in all, it's simply just plain poor customer service. This has only changed over the last few years. Of course, when I lived in Becker, MN, I'd always give the postal carrier a present over the Christmas holidays. I guess that this carrier could care less about any tokens of appreciation. Then there's the fact that I always see him gabbing on his cell phone whenever he's delivering mail (driving). I'm tempted to not avoid an accident with him on one of his delivery days, however, I can't take the chance on getting injured again.
