I have a few "libturds" on my facebook. Two of them were semi-relatives of mine. My dead brothers widow and her brother. I have a moonbat friend who is crazy so I overlook her moonbat tendences because I really do feel sorry for her. Then there is another one that I'm not sure how far into moonbatty-ness she has fallen. She has the same auto-immune disease I have and since there aren't very many of us with our disease I must keep her as a "friend". Although there are times I want to smack the shit out if her. Other than those people the rest of my non right thinking friends are either friends from high school or other friends who mean more to me than thier politics.
Hi,
I think many of us fall into the group, "You can pick your friends but you cannot pick your family." I have a cousin who is my age and is a die hard liberal. I realized it the first time well over 35 years ago when she was teaching school in Chicago and bitched about the system. Her premise was the city should give school teachers a day off with pay so they could do their Christmas shopping because the stores were too crowded in the evenings and weekends when everyone else was shopping.
Last year in her Christmas card she send along a picture of her standing next to BO and I wanted to gag. No matter how many facts, or how much logic you present to her, it would be wasted effort. Whenever she has no logical answer, the comeback is personal, "You are just a racist, or are just mean-spirited." If you were to put her on a lie detector you likely would find deep down she really means what she says too.
Her brother is the exact opposite and it is now to the point we just roll our eyes and shake our heads...
On the other hand you can pick your friends and those you want to spend a lot of time with.
Hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend,
