GALVESTON — Royce Clyde Zeigler II says he was in his bedroom listening to his 2-year-old stepdaughter's screams and took no part in her slaying, according to two videotaped statements shown to the jury Wednesday during his capital murder trial in the death of the girl who became known as Baby Grace.

“I did not harm Riley to kill her,” Zeigler said during a Nov. 3, 2007, interview he requested with investigators after his arrest in the death of Riley Ann Sawyers, whose then-unidentified body had been discovered a month earlier in a blue plastic box that had washed ashore on an island in West Galveston Bay.

The nine men and three women jurors, on the first day of a trial before District Judge David Garner, also saw a second videotaped interview that Zeigler requested the following day.

They must both be absolute psychopaths, and neither of them should see the light of day again until they are walking to their execution.

What could a child - any child not just a 2 yr old - possibly do that would make someone beat them with a belt, hold their head under water, smother them with a pillow and crack their head against a tile floor enough to crack their skull in 3 places?

Forget a trial..... :angryvillagers:

String 'em up.....take giant cigars and burn them all over their bodies.....skin 'em.....let the birds and bugs have at them until they are dead.

I like it. Now, the idea of having the birds and bugs having it is degrading for them. Even animals don't do this. Trenor and Ziegler deserve the worst layer of Hell along side with Hitler and Stalin. They are truly worthless. Anyone who makes excuses for them are just as bad.  :bird:

Where can we find an Apache to take care of these pukes? They reeaally knew how to do it! Many American Indian cultures could teach the boys at Gitmo a thing or two. I wouldn't mind learning, myself.
