College Football Saturday (10/29)
« on: October 30, 2009, 06:15:42 PM »
Some video previews:

Texas vs. Oklahoma State
http://www.cbssports.com/video/player/play/collegefootball/76v43OzZMjEwzFqcMjHsba7I5ms2I0at

USC vs. Oregon
http://www.cbssports.com/video/player/play/collegefootball/l6LrPicc7SlMhz5TQI7QUo6OVSOaz9hy

Those are the two "biggest" games, I think, as far as ranked teams playing eachother. Minus of course, "your" team vs. whoever. I can't make much of a case for my Buckeye's being in a big game tomorrow as they are supposed to win by 40.

So what are the games you guys will be watching? Besides checking in on Ohio State and Cincinnati I'll likely watch one of the games listed above if I'm able. Both my Ohio teams play at Noon and each of the above games are at 8PM so I might actually get some things done on a Saturday afternoon for once. Nah, what am I sayin', I'll be drunk.

Alternating, unfortunately, between OU vs. K-State and Texass vs. OSU.

Texas A&M v. Iowa State.

Gig 'em Ags.

Hopefully the Aggies put a beat down on ISU like they did to Texas Tech last week.

TN-SC at 7:45.

How will Kiffin hold up against Spurrier?

Will he be as intimidated as Fulmer was?

Inquiring minds are anxiously awaiting...... :evillaugh:

So far, so good for both of us. (both my O-H...I-O teams won) Aggies played a nice first half. Looks like most of "our" (CC) teams are winning today. Only Georgia needs to pull it together and come back in the second half.

Man. Lots of important games yet to even kick-off. I'm not a big fan of multiple late games for college ball.

Did anyone else notice the continual reference and reverence to the universal-Marxist anthem, "Imagine" by Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson during the UGA vs. UF game?

Missed that game but I do hate me some politics in a freakin' football game.

Saw Illinois crush Michigan like they were the Rose Bowl Illini rather than the now 2-6 Illini. Guess that's why they play the game.

Can't wait until I'm in College Station. Another year and half.

ABC's playing USC vs. Oregon here. I thought I would rather see the Texas game but it seems I might have got the better match after all. (so far) Oregon is up 24-17 and has the ball in scoring range as the third quarter is getting going.

Yeah, Texas is running it up against the Pokes. OU escaped a 2nd half comeback by K-State with a couple of TD drives in the 3rd and 4th.

Wow, just like that it's 34-20 Oregon. (lots of time left though)

I do like to see OU doing well and a K-State win is nothing to sneeze at. (unlike, say New Mexico State cough cough :uhsure: )

My beloved Ags rolled Iowa State 35-10. It may sound crazy to some, but the Texas/A&M game could be the perfect trap game for the Longhorns. A penalty here, turnover there, muffed punt, sack or two, blown coverage, etc. and the Ags could actually find themselves in this one. Remember, McCoy is only 1-2 vs. A&M, and Texas has had the better team every time. Do I expect the Aggies to win? Not really.....but it would be nice to knock Texas off of their #2 perch.

I'm sorry, but Iowa is not the 4th best team in the country.

Glad to see Oregon beat the perennially overrated Trojans.

FOR SALE: 1 Mediocre Quarterback

All inquiries should be made to the University of Mississippi's athletic department.

No offer refused. Can deliver. Will consider a trade for a nice Gatorade cooler.
