Our subdivision streets, our drive and walks aren't even drying out anymore between the rains the ground water is so high..... :(

  It's been the same way here. The most we've had the last month is two days without rain. Even then, the ground isn't dry. Like I said earlier, I have stuff to do outside and I'm stuck. More rain inbound tonight.

Rain forecast tonight, tomorrow and thunderstorms on Saturday.

Sunday is supposed to dry out, but cooler.

We can't do anything around here. The leaves are everywhere but to wet to even move with the leaf blower.
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Yup.  The next band of rain is supposed to hit in an hour or so.  Hopefully, since I travel eastward home, I will be right ahead of it.  Daggum traffic is crazy in the rain.  Next week looks hopeful.  So far, no rain scheduled.

Yikes!  Scary story, asdf2231.  I hope things work out. :(

Is this the night the germ-ridden little booger monsters children go door to door spreading their microbes, or is that tomorrow?

Saturday here.

I just heard better word from my friend.  No chest tubes but the kid is bouncing fevers as high as 104 and they are trying to keep her regulated. :(

It could be worse right now.

I felt bad enough with the bronchitis I got a few years ago... it was like having a couple of sandbags hanging in your chest.  I can't imagine having a high fever along with the rest of that mess.  Poor kid.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I'm a fan of the hold-your-breath method but if you want to send me pictures, I'm okay with that. :p

Off to the store for more brew.  BBL, TTFN.

a spoon of peanut butter works quite well to cure the hiccups if one is not allergic to peanuts.

The hiccups are gone.  The hold-your-breath method comes through again.

I had an absolutely ridiculous day; two women at work behaved like children.  One of them stepped on a push-pin and announced it to everyone.  The one who brought the push-pins and Halloween decorations got offended by the announcement and spent the rest of her day angrily pulling down said decorations.

Why can't I work with normal people?

This has been an awful week, death of one of the few people on earth that remember me as a child, just 3 left and all over 70 years old.

Bringing up proper protocol for family's and friends at funerals at Flu season.  Sudden death is such a wrenching experience for the survivors.  Family comes in from everywhere, people you are blood to, hard to ignore all warnings and just fist bump them.

Fortunately except for the outside burial children were not in couraged to be at the inside funeral with a couple hundred strangers in each others face crying and hanging on to each other.

Anyone have any idea on how this Flu will cause human nature or the practices we have today to change in the future.?

Should we go back in time to the practice of wearing thin cotton gloves for handshaking and hugging.?

This reminds me of a cartoon in the English papers of by gone days of people pulling a cart down the street full of body's and the people pulling them yelling " Bring out your dead."

Bad week for me.

Vesta...I am so sorry for your loss.

This flu thing is really bad.

I'm too old to get the vaccine....and because I'm not able to get it....I'm also afraid to be around children. The rest of the inlaws are all in the medical field...they've all had the vaccine.

No one has any idea if they are carriers even....
