UN Investigates US for Human Rights Abuse

For those of you who have never even heard of a “Special Rapporteur,” you may be surprised to find out that one has been appointed by the United Nations (UN), under a special mandate from the UN Human Rights Council (the successor to the corrupt and anti-Israel UN Commission on Human Rights), to open a probe—for the first time ever— into human rights violations by the United States because of a perception that there isn’t enough affordable public housing in urban areas.

The UN Human Rights Council believes that housing is a human right, and, because housing (especially “affordable housing”) is so tough to come by in places like New York City, there is a strong likelihood that the United States Government is guilty of gross human rights violations.

But Rolnik’s impartiality is highly suspect, as she appears to have already made up her mind as to the existence of these “violations .”

The report will be bad. That is a foregone conclusion. How will the UN punish the United States? That remains to be seen. Who gave the UN the right to send a Special Rapporteur on this tour of American cities in the first place, since  UN Special Rapporteurs can only visit countries that have agreed to invite them?

The invitation came from the top.

Piss on the UN.  Go pound sand you clueless poofters.

Easy solution...

All we have to do to provide housing for everyone in NYC is just pull diplomatic immunity... we'd pull in billions in parking tickets.

The UN is a collection of 192 misfit nations, with just a few excpetions.  Their Human Rights Committee is the joke of all jokes in that it is staffed with some the world's worst human rights offenders and murderers known to mankind.

Only the american-hating left(academia, media and democrats) give credence to this body of freedom haters.

Perhaps she will be fortunate enough to encounter some of the more aggressive advocates of wealth redistribution in her travels to our inner cities.

I am absolutely delighted to hear this information.

We are so entranced with the UN that not only are we going to sign off on Rolnik's report without even reading it, we're also going to dedicate the next federal building in her name.

We owe it to the UN. After all, we are a global nation, answerable not to ourselves but to the UN.

Long live the UN!

The Federal government should immediately stop all funds going to cities that are found to be in violation of the UN standards.  That will show those filthy greedy neocons in charge of all those cities.  :-)

Last time I checked, N.Y. city is an infestation of libs, leftists and 3rd-world america haters just like the UN that is located there.

Let's see, Hitler's 1924 "NSDAP" platform had "rent control" and housing as a right.
Hitler must be so proud to today's lefties...dedicated little brown shirts implementing his edicts.
