I think it was on Hannity last night where he and his guest thought there should be more oversight on bailout money, and how companies SHOULD be limited in executive compensation if they take government money.
Really? Conditions on accepting government assistance? Why don't we put conditions on PEOPLE who accept government assistance, like don't have kids, don't do drugs, try to find a freakin job, etc?
Sparkey with your suggestion people would be laid off left and right. Welfare officers would have but 10 people a week willing to adhere to the rules. 8 would flunk out the first week.
Question, what did people do before wellfare ? How did they feed, cloth and house themselves.?? Depression saw men standing in bread lines and thousands road the rails, hobos, they chopped wood and painted houses just for food and a place to sleep in the barn.
I find few references to what happend to the wives and children they left behind. Some how they survived. In New York City they planted vegetable gardens on the roof tops and raised chickens. The kids went to school and obeyed their mothers without their Dad around.
