Obama and his Secret Service protection.

I have seen some idiotic posts here that the Secret Service, (part of the Treasury Dept.), "won't protect Obama that well" because it's a division of the Bush Administration.

I have a one word answer to this. Bullshit.

Although I have no first-hand knowledge of the strategies or tactics of the SS, I don't care if they report to Bush, or any other president. Secret Service bodyguard details have one job and one job only. To protect the life of the person they have been assigned to protect.

Like many here, I have lost confidence in many branches of our government. But I have zero doubt that each and every person assigned to Obama's security detail would "take a bullet for him."

This is why they are there. It's what they do. It's their reason for being.

Please, please, don't question their dedication on this site.

The primitives aren't buying it.

The large-proboscised primitive needs to work on his salesmanship; Pedro Picasso always did much better, selling the primitives a bill of goods.

Unfortunately, I don't put ANYTHING past anyone in this administration and the powers that be. Obama's message and popularity appears to be a threat to those in power. Power never gives up easily.

Aren`t these the same folks that to a person castigate or ridicule President Bushs`ride on Air Force 1 following the 9/11 attacks which was due to Secret Service protections.

They are the ultimate political whores--if there's a (D) behind a person's name, there's nothing that they can't do wrong, nor are there any limits to the lengths they will go to, to protect said person.  If there's an (R) behind the name, they are the scum of the Earth, unworthy of any protection.
