I don't get it. I keep hearing Czar's mentioned or seeing it in print. Why the uproar? What does it mean? I get some part that Obama has appointed A Czar to something, is this a made-up so called bogeyman???

Hell Obama has appointed a Czar for each day of the year. If Bush had appointed this many new people in positions he created out of thin air the DUmp would be in an uproar.

Little known/greatly hushed up fact:  The Roosevelt era 'Czars', were called "DICTATORS".  They stopped that in a real big hurry when the American public's image of Fascism/Nazism/Socialism went south.

When critically thinking about the czars, I believe that everyone is really missing the main point as to why they exist.  Clinton had nine, Bush had thirteen, and the jug-eared clown has thirty-seven and rising nearly by the day.

As a practical matter, the czars are appointed to advise the president, and make policy decisions in areas that require special attention, or areas where the president is lacking in expertise.

The fact that Obama has so many is simply a measure of his total lack of experience, and inability to function successfully in the job without being propped up by a vast array of specialized "advisers"........

The czars are a clear indication that Obama is incapable of doing the job effectively, and the background of the folks that he appoints is a clear indication of his further lack of management capabilities.........

As I have maintained since the beginning.......Obama will end up making Jimmy Carter look good by comparison......

The big deal is that the previous czars were confirmed or vetted by the congress.  Obumler has more than doubled the number of them ans they are not vetted..

 So it has been made into a bogeyman term. Jesus! It's like this ACORN thing, never heard of them now suddenly it's like they are the be all end all to every problem. The name is on everyone's lips, my brother (who has no clue about current events) sends me a news clip about ACORN. WTF??
 

sniff, sniff....  although nobody seems to have a clue.  No comment over there about the drug-crazed homo safe schools czar.
