NFL week 1
« on: September 13, 2009, 12:10:50 PM »
Well my predictions were already made in the pick'em game so I'll leave that alone.

Thoughts? Hopes? Beers?

My Seahawks virtually stole a first round draft pick from Denver this year so I can't wait to see how bad the Bronco's suck. (prediction- top 5 pick coming)

No expectations for the home city Bengals (other than getting shithammered by Pit twice of course), I just hope they are fun to watch. They should be.

Hope - Seattle wins today and every week

Beer status - sober and not drinking

Watched the Cowboys' game here. The offense looked good. Better than I expected. The D got ran all over by a mediocre Tampa Bay run offense.

Bears and Packers tonight.

Beer status is zero tonight. After having some yesterday, I need a break.

Mark Sanchez looked pretty good in his first start.  I thought that the Jets would have to have the running game going to do anything, yet he was able to throw, too.  The first touchdown was stunning in the fact that there was no one near the receiver . . .

The Big D defense looked pretty good, too.  And the G-Men looked decent.

Onto the last couple of games!

First quarter of the game in Seattle looked like the first quarter of a bad team in pre-season week one. After that both sides of the ball for the Seahawks woke up and my guys pasted the lowly Rams 28-Zip. (that's with 3 Hawk turnovers too)

Cincy v Broncos was so awful it was HI-larious. Two terrible teams and a fluke ending you probley saw the replay of. (2 TD's in the last minute+ of the game, 2 lead changes and Denver escapes the "winner")

Just highlights of the rest of the game. (9ers v Zona heck of a game)

Wow.

Bills had the Pats beat and they're just giving it away at the end. Too bad.

Wild finish.

T.O. melt down LOL.

I'm starting to believe Owens has never melted down at all and actually just been bat crazy from day one. (It's only monthly advances in medical science that make him appear lucid from time to time)

Anyone watching San Diego v Oakland.

I may have to turn in my "man card" but after Thur. night football, College football Sat., Sunday football, Sunday night football and a Monday night game I don't think I can make it through another.

I'm curious what the Chargers have put together but could give a damn about Da Raiders. I don't know... is it just me?

He's just nuts, but, I meant in the sense where he starts calling out other players in the media, running down the coaching staff, etc.

I watched the the Vikings play the Browns yesterday and I was surprised at my reaction to seeing Brett Farve get taken down and the joy I felt when the Browns went into the half ahead but the Vikings got their crap together over the half and played pretty well the rest of the game.

Bears at Green Bay was a nail biter, when I stepped away from being a Green Bay fan, that was a heck of a game.  I felt kind of bad for Jay Cutler but I was glad he was playing for my team.
