greenbriar primitive loathes Vast Teddy's bill

Okay, I'm assuming everybody knows the background here, about the "No Child Left Behind" Act, which was dreamed up by Vast Teddy sometime during the 1970s.

For years and years and years, even those years Democrats had overwhelming majorities in Congress, Vast Teddy tried getting his pet bill passed, but it was no-go.

That was, until George Bush took office in late January 2001.

This was before 9-11, and of course got buried by significant events some months later.  At the time, Bush wished to appease the hostile opposition, and thought he could make Vast Teddy be nicer to him, if he did something for Vast Teddy.

Bush advisers said no, no, no; if you've got to make nice-nice with a liberal Democrat senator, make it with one who'll be nice back to you; maybe Schumer or Clinton or Levin or Leahy or Daschle, or somebody like that, somebody who'll give in exchange for having gotten.  Vast Teddy won't return any favor.

But no, George Bush wanted to make nice with Vast Teddy.

And so George Bush took Vast Teddy's pet bill, which even Democrats didn't like, and rammed it through Congress, losing valuable political capital with both parties (this was the spring and summer before 9-11, remember).  He had to not only arm-twist Republicans to vote for it, but Democrats too.

This was perhaps the most disastrous mistake George Bush made, in his eight years in office.

Vast Teddy got his "No Child Left Behind" Act, but never returned the favor; in fact, Vast Teddy got even more hostile, more Hate-filled.

That was the reason Vast Teddy was the only U.S. Senator never invited inside the White House between July something, 2001 and January 20, 2009.

So.....that's the background.

I HATE NCLB...our district is suffering and now we teachers have taken another it We have lost 125. monthly that we were given as a bonus to teach in very high poverty schools

additionally we did not get a raise but also we do NOT get to move on our tract schedule

so all in all I have lost about 500 bucks a month due to the economy and NCLB

the sad thing is, some of that money I used to spend to bring hands on activities in my classroom so the kids can actually experience things as opposed to reading about it

projects like making soap

Panning for Gold

taking a "Lewis and Clark" expedition

those are extra expenses that made learning fun, but My bills are not being cut so I don't know if I will be able to fund those type of activities out of my pocket

Well now, the greenbriar primitive knows who to blame.

The greenbriar primitive for some odd reason repeats herself, finding copying-and-pasting easier than thinking a thought:

After which follows a discussion between the greenbriar primitive, who teaches in Wichita, and the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher, who teaches in Kansas City:

15. somewhere in the news article that talked about the termination of the bonus said it saved 18 princi admin jobs and added several elementary teaching positions...

so elem teachers can have class sizes of no more than 15 but SS and Science teachers can have class sizes of 30+

Well, the greenbriar primitive knows who to blame.

So, if the greenbriar primitive cared about her students as much as she claims to, she could forgo one of her cruises, and voila, problem solved.

For a teacher, her grammar is atrocious.  Always has been.  How could she even score an interview?

How do you take a gaggle of school critters on a Lewis and Clark Expedition?

That was hilarious with the cut & paste job.   :-)

She really needs to stop posting while drunk.

Wasn't it one of these two who was asking how the food is from the Church pantry?  I'll bet the empty cans and boxes left over from the Church pantry raid would make props for a "Lewis and Clark" expedition.  And why buy soap when you can pose as a needy person and pick it up from your local Church?  Maybe she could teach those useful life skills.

1 Nazi SS teacher is probably enough given the indoctrination that students are given by their other liberal teachers. I think 3 for math and language are too many considering what I see and hear from the kids working as cashiers and fast food places.

You can confuse the hell out of a youngster if the total comes to $9.53 and you give them a $10 bill and 3 pennies.

The Soviets only needed one political officer per ship, why do we need more in schools?

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.  Isn't this the same idiot who not long ago had a post about how one of the teachers in its school couldn't figure out why their check was for MORE money and then it kindly explained how 'O' was doing that for them.

Someone needs to look that up.

No, sir, that was not the greenbriar primitive.

That was the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher, who was explaining the paycheck to a "right-wing Republican dimwit" fellow teacher.

As far as I know, No Child Left Behind just discourages social promotion and makes schools actually prove the kids are learning something... of course the public teachers union hates it.

It's MUCH worse than that.

It promotes the attitude that there "are no stupid kids, just bad teachers".  If the worthless little ****ers aren't passing, it's NOT THEIR FAULT, IT'S THE TEACHERS FAULT.

Im thrilled we managed to get the kids into a Charter School. (well one anyway, the school runs from 5th grade through high school -- the others are too young still) Ive always had to bite my tongue during parent-teacher events.

I'm confused.  I thought it was her mother who moved to Missouri, not the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher.

Now it appears the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher teaches in Missouri, not Kansas.  But she herself could still live in Kansas.

However, since the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher lives in the metropolitan Kansas City area, given the way the land and the boundaries are, any of this would make sense, in any combination.  Around Kansas City, going from Kansas to Missouri, and vice-versa, is a piece of cake.

I wish the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher would come over here, register, and tell us more about herself.

She moved to Mo. and brought her Mother with her. Her Mother was in a old folks home. She had no ID. No drivers license. No bank account. In other words, couldn't prove who she was. I asked her how she got her Mother admitted into the home without any ID. She wouldn't answer.

I have a strong feeling that the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher voted two times, using her Mother's absentee ballot. This would have been 06 midterm elections.
