Why sheet music that you won't play? With the books I like to have them in case I suddenly feel the need to re-read them although I have so many that I rarely do.
the example I quoted, the Bach cello suites, are copies that I remember
stealing borrowing from a friend 30 years ago.
Playing Bach is not something that is just done. It takes time, effort, and love to play it right - qualities that I am desperately short on these days.
Presently I'm working on Monti's
Czardas and Rimsky-Korsakov's
Flight of the Bumblebee, in addition to the folder full of stuff that I'm supposed to keep under my fingers.
Freakin' work gets in the way of my music.
