I Just Exploded At My Local Gas Station

.....NOT REALLY BUT!!!!!!

I noticed as I pulled the nozzle back from the pump and looked at the price and blew up....the price has rose over .30 cents in the past ten days in my home city south of Seattle.

After I was through pumping and got my receipt I just could not restrain myself anymore and went inside and talked to the manager and ironically was asked if I would like to fill out a customer comment card on my service for the day, I said I'd be happy to.

The jist of my comments was to state that I am tired of being played with as far as gas prices go...there up .30 cents one week there down 20 cents the next while oil company executives and companies are making gross profits and bonuses. I stated why don't they just raise them 50 cents and get it over with.......then I handed it to the manager and said thanks and asked her to read it.

Her expression went from calm to baffled....she said WOW what a statement do you really mean this I said yes. I said if OPEC would just stop using supply and demand which they control as an excuse it wouldn't so bad..I'm tired of being bullshitted...I then continued by telling her I work in the Aviation industry in a very complex job where peoples lives and aircraft safety are directly are directly in my hands. I said I am directly the one who controls the fuel cost at my company and have had my salary devalued as a direct result of fuel prices and my industry's stubbornest to ask the consumer to pony up as well more $$$ for their fare.

She asked me if there was anything else she could help me with, I said yes be sure the customer comment card get to the person who has the most ability to respond to this issue and pass on my further comments as well.

From his job-description in that comment, it looks as if the smithing primitive holds on to the nozzle when pumping fuel into airplanes.

Aren't libs constantly floating the idea of gas taxes to reduce fuel consumption and raise money for their bizarre schemes?

So how would the DUmbass feel about the feds raising the tax by 40 cents in one day?

BTW, was not the anointed democrat congress going to lower gas prices and give everyone a lollipop?

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Raising gas taxes only hurts the poor but libs will never admit that. Their intentions are too good you know. Wealthy people can afford to live closer to work and thus spend less on fuel. The lower wage workers have to look father away from the city centers to find affordable housing thus they spend more in transportation costs.
Lower fuel taxes and lower fuel costs help lower income workers more but Libs always seem to want those things that drive the cost of energy higher.

Fantastic point.  What exactly has this anointed democrat congress done in the over a year they've been in power?

So the DUmmie lives in Washington State, allI have to say is:

A people... who are possessed of the spirit of commerce, who see and who will pursue their advantages may achieve almost anything.

My guess is one of those entry level assembly line jobs at Boeing.

Dude's feathers are puffed out with self importance because he impressed the cashier at a gas station.

Sad really.

A bit of an off topic rant, but not completely.

Where do the DUmmies think that all these so-called profits go?  For any company, not just teh evil oil companies.  Just to some Mr. Burns type CEO smoking a cigar on the top floor of Evil Corporation building?  The profits are given back to the stockholders, most of whom are the DUmmies neighbors and friends, and sometimes the DUmmies themselves in their 401(k) or other mutual funds.

The other place profits go is to build infrastructure for these giant evil corporations.  It costs a lot of money to keep making products, building and maintaining property, etc.  This creates jobs.

Bunch of DUmbasses, I tell ya'.  Anytime they try to pontificate about economics, all I can do is laugh.

OK, end of rant. :-)

Let me get this right, this DUmmie didn't look at the price of gas until finished pumping it?  I look at the gas prices of EVERY gas station I pass.  I'm never shocked to find out what gas prices are AFTER I pump it.  I'll make a comment about having to ride a bicycle to work when I go in.  But then again, I go to the same store to get my gas, and know the cashier pretty well.

so basically, the DUmmie just blew the "blood for oil" theory.

Idjits. They still don't understand what it takes to get gas to the consumer. Nor do they understand "profit margin".

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
