This bonfire on Skins's island is protesting how "often" Fox News identifies Republicans as Democrats, as if Fox is supposed to be perfect, but CBS, NBC, and ABC don't have to be.

It's a very large, and hilarious thread.

One can't do much with it, though, because much of it is primitive-collected images of Fox pases, and so best to see the bonfire in its original location.

Some of these are actually rib-tickling hilarious.

However, one did notice:

47. Remember, Fox viewers only watch Fox. They'll never hear anything different.

They'll see the (D), they'll NEVER hear "Republican" associated with this story, so they'll believe it was a Democrat. It's a very convenient little vacuum they have going on.

It was just really weird, what happened on conservativecave yesterday (Wednesday).

Usually I use Pedro Picasso to draw traffic here, and thought he was a pretty good draw.

But then yesterday I happened to post something about goat glands, usually an arcane and innocuous subject, and was floored by the rush of traffic that jammed here; in fact, a record was set.

Alas, Pedro Picasso now has to take second place to.....goat glands.

Fox viewers only watch Fox the same way MSNBC viewers only watch MSNBC the way CNN viewers only watch CNN.  IOW that's true of some viewers, but not all.  Pedro lives in the vacuum between his ears.

Okay, I've been keeping track, on which topic brings the most traffic here.

Pedro Picasso, goat glands, monkey glands.

Pedro Picasso used to be the top traffic-bringer, until yesterday (Wednesday), when goat glands not only beat him, but trounced Pedro Picasso by better than double.

Today I tried monkey glands, and while the day's not over yet, it looks as if monkey glands, although not as popular as goat glands, have edged ahead of Pedro Picasso as a traffic-bringer.

Which drops Pedro Picasso down to third place, in the traffic-bringing competition.

Behind goat glands and monkey glands.

Wrong.  Completely wrong.

I don't watch cable news all that often.  When I do, I'll flip between CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and the business channels.  If something strikes my interest on any of those networks, I'll watch.  Makes no difference which one.

And no, I'm not the exception that proves the rule, Texas Toast. :whatever:

I used to watch Fox News, but I haven't had cable since 2003, and other than to watch an occasional DVD, I haven't turned on my TV in months. I do watch a few TV shows on the innernets. Just last week, I got all caught up on missed episodes of The Unit and True Blood.

I'm curious as to what Republican Fox allegedly named as a Democrat?

Specter, maybe?

The governor of South Carolina.

You know, because I can't hear, I don't watch a whole lot of television.

And when I watch television, I tend to read the words (not closed-captioning, but whatever text is on the screen) rather than look at the faces.

Misidentification is much more common than what hearing people might suspect.  I've seen it for years, and I've seen it often.  I've even seen Vast Teddy labeled as "(R-Mississippi)," sometime during the early 1990s, on CNN.  And that old bitch Ann Richards identified as that other old bitch Molly Ivins, sometime during the late 1980s, on CBS.

Excresence happens.
