clear eye (1000+ posts) Mon Jun-15-09 09:46 PMResponse to Reply #2 4. If people actually do it, it'll be covered. What it needs is more play on the websites of the groups that claim to support single-payer. Other than the doctors, nurses, and Healthcare-Now!, a more mealy-mouthed group of scaredy-cats I've never seen. (My apologies to cats.) I do remember what happened when young people got the word out about anti-globalization events. 1000's materialized each time, and the unions eventually were shamed into joining in. If people use the technology they have to mass-text or audio message large numbers of friends to say that they are going to participate(stay home from school or work) and encourage their friends to do likewise, it will happen again. And Congress is easier to influence than global capitalist overlords.

Yet another in the long, long, long, long, long, long list of failed DUmmy protests.Hey Bijou, was that list you compiled of failed protest ideas done here or at CU? That was a classic thread.
It was at CU and on a previous computer so I don't have it. Perhaps I will do an updated one as I think it was about 3 or 4 years ago now.
Someone do franksolich a favor tomorrow, and wake him up if something happens.
