Poll question: What is your least important issue?

Edited on Tue Jun-16-09 04:24 PM by ThomWV
I'm going to post similar questons twice, once for your most important and once for your least important issue. I will try to be broad and inclusive as possible and put the issues in no particular order.

I am hoping to get a glimpse of the seeming importance of the major issues on this board.

This one is for your least important.

Poll result (53 votes)
Economic stabilization and job creation   (1 votes, 2%)
Ending our involvement in foreign war(s)   (2 votes, 4%)
Health care/Health financing   (2 votes, 4%)
Homosexual's rights   (23 votes, 43%)
Abortion rights   (4 votes, 8%)
Corruption of Constitutional law (domestic spying, suspension of Habeas, torture. etc)   (0 votes, 0%)
Education   (3 votes, 6%)
Adequacy and accuracy of news or other media reporting (US Journalism)   (14 votes, 26%)
Environmental issues to include Global Warming   (3 votes, 6%)
Energy availablity, cost, and use   (1 votes, 2%)

10. Your poll is flawed.

It's not Homosexual rights, It's civil rights. Please don't confuse the two.

24. 40% of DU apparently don't care about "homosexual's rights" (a telling way you phrased it, btw)

Either things are even worse than I thought on here (and it's pretty damn bad) or your poll has been freeped.

34. There are some cruel people here. And I alerted this bullshit poll.

I knew this was going to be a disaster. This is a great way to treat your fellow DUers like shit! Who are the people picking "homosexual rights?" Even if it's true, it's cruel to pick that option.

37.  We're locking this.

Seems posted as flame bait, not for discussion about the issues.

Thanks for your consideration.

11. It is a tough choice. Least important doesn't mean unimportant--it's simply a prioritization exercise....which one, of all these important issues, brings up the rear?

Pun intended??

Nor do they about womens, blacks or anyone else but themselves except for how they can be used for political purposes.

In reality, those poll results follow most DimRats.  Only the gays truly care about gay rights more than any of those other issues. All of the other issues affect the majority of the people with the exception of abortion, and DU is heavily populated with femmes or else abortion would have been close to the homos.

Stinks like ass, eh?

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle
