The study, being published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, suggests a basic biological link between sexual orientation and a range of brain functions.

Indeed, it is not necessarily biological if it means which neural pathways are used as opposed to physical neural structure, the former could be merely a byproduct of differing types of social interactions and its demands for response.

I read something quite a few years ago that was along these lines. I may not remember exactly but you'll get the general idea.

The hypo-thal-amus (can't remember how to spell it) region in the brain controls sex. That region in gay men was found to be small like in hetrosexual women. The same region in lesbian women was large like in hetrosexual males.
