It seems that even the world’s oldest profession is suffering from the recession, leaving the brothel industry looking for new ways to make money.

Enter male prostitutes.

Two hours north of Las Vegas, Nevada's the Shady Lady is looking for dapper dudes to cater to the other half. For the first time, the brothel is offering up men for hire, and its owner sat down with FOX News to talk about the change in strategy.

"There are a lot of career-minded women out there who are looking for romance but not necessarily a relationship," Shady Lady owner Bobbi Davis told FOX.

Other venues across the state also have inquired about adding men to the menu. But brothel industry lobbyist George Flint discourages the practice because he believes it is socially unacceptable — and he doubts it will have any effect on the bottom line.

I'm certain that we would have zero problem finding "candidates" for those, er, "positions" here at CC.

Bad idea. Why would a woman go somewhere and pay for it when she can just as easily pick up a dude at the local watering hole for free? I think that what they're going to find is a buncha fat, hairy, middle-aged sword-swallowers sliding in there for some bvttsecks.

My neighbor Heidi Fleiss already tried this once.

The men she was hiring looked like super models.

Women pay to see "male dancers" & I'm sure they would pay for sex also.

I wonder if any women would tell the male whores "just hold me?"

Well, actually the customer's ability to totally control and set limits for the parameters of the encounter, including its duration, is the one big selling point this would have that beats taking chances with the willing but unconstrained male population at large.
