Fox News Stands Out as "Too Critical" of Obama

Quote
No One Network Singled Out as Too Easy
When Americans are asked to assess television news coverage of Barack Obama, Fox News Channel stands out from other networks for being too critical of the president. Nearly three-in-ten (29%) select Fox when asked which of six broadcast and cable news networks have been too critical of the new Democratic president, a far greater share than any other network.

In contrast, no one TV network is singled out for being too easy on Obama. Each of five networks (CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC and CBS) was named by about one in six respondents in this regard. Again, the Fox News Network stands apart – just 5% named Fox as being too easy on the president.

The latest weekly News Interest Index survey, conducted April 17-20 by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, finds a substantial partisan divide in views of how TV news networks cover Obama. More than four-in-ten Democrats (44%) say Fox has been too critical of Obama, compared with 25% of independents and just 18% of Republicans. No other network comes close to Fox, though 11% overall – including 18% of Democrats – say CNN has been too critical of the president. Very few Americans cite the broadcast networks – ABC (4%), NBC (4%) or CBS (3%) – as too critical.

In the survey, no one network is particularly identified as too easy on Obama. That is despite the view of many media watchers that, among the cable stations, MSNBC’s prime time lineup tilts to the left, while Fox’s leans conservative. Some 16% of Americans identify MSNBC as too easy on Obama, the same percentage that cites CNN. Among Republicans, one quarter (25%) says MSNBC is too easy on Obama; about as many say the same about CNN and each of the broadcast networks.
PEW!!!

Judging from their poll numbers, it looks like they heavily favored asking Dems these questions. It's not surprising that one single network wasn't labeled as being to easy on0Bama, considering most of them have been knob slobbering him for the past 2-3 years.

And thus we see another reason why FOX is number one.

Pretty clearly, the 30% hardcore Obamabots are focused on Fox.  Just as clearly, none of the others are critical at all, they just coexist in a state of roughly equal adoration of Obama (MSNBC really doesn't count since hardly anyone but hard-core Obamabots even watches it, and apparently not all that large a slice of even them, so it's just be a blip in the poll anyway).

Why do they even watch FOX News to begin with?  :mental:

They don't--at least not without the filter of Media Matter, Kos, DU, and HuffPo.

I wasn't a big fan of FOX News until Tea Party Day.  I give FOX all kinds of credit for their unique coverage.

As for this "poll", I consider CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC to be all one network.  Really, this poll is comparing the American FOX News to the multiple outlets of the one Anti-American Propaganda Misinformation Chain.

If you look at the "poll" the same way I do, the outcome is quite different.

I dunno about that, I suspect it is a "Guily pleasure" for many of them.

You'd be surprised, DAT.  Ask your local frothing moonbat who goes off on "Faux News" when the last time they actually WATCHED it, and almost inevitably they'll come up with something straight out of Media Matters, et al, and NOT from FNC.

Which is why it makes their heads explode when I admit to them that yes, I do in fact watch Olberman and Maddow about once a week or so, just to keep them off balance and see how the enemy works.

April Ratings: FNC Beats CNN and MSNBC Combined

"How's this for cable news domination - Fox News beat CNN and MSNBC combined in every hour from 6amET to MidnightET in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo for April 2009.

FNC had the top 11 cable news programs in Total Viewers and 12 of the top 15 in the demo. FNC is the #2 network in Total Viewers on all of cable.

From 9amET on, every program grew by more than 60% in the demo. The 5pmET hour, now occupied by Glenn Beck, is up 212% in the demo and up 128% in Total Viewers. Your World with Neil Cavuto is up 102% in the demo and up 60% in Total Viewers. On the Record with Greta Van Susteren is up 75% in demo and up 55% in Total Viewers. Also in demo: FOX Report is up 75%, Special Report 70%, The O'Reilly Factor 74% and Hannity 64%.

Fox & Friends has now been #1 for 90 consecutive months, Studio B with Shepard Smith for 80 consecutive months."

I don't know why, but they left out the fact that O'Reilly has been leading his time slot for at least 100 months straight.  No wonder the DUmmies hate FoxNews so much, they're afraid of people learning just how stupid 0bama really is.

Exactly...I can't watch MSNBC without throwing my fuzzy slipper at the tv.
