Tuesday! Taxes, oatmeal and really wild stuff!
« on: March 31, 2009, 07:14:33 AM »
Everybody is eating said oatmeal and we have a 10am appointment to have our taxes done at the accountant's office.  We might actually owe some this year. :p

Spring Break starts on Friday of this week.  On Saturday the girls are flying out for a week in San Antonio and the Mancub and I pile in the car for the wilds of Arkansas with the Pepper Pup.  I am taking the little single shot .22 bolt action that was his sister's training rifle and we are going to learn basic gun safety and target shooting.  He's pretty psyched.  Before we do that we are going to see what happens when a .45 round impacts a watermelon along with some comments on what would happen to a person getting hit by same.  Hopefully it will sink in.

A cloudy, but no longer raining, day in the Great (sorta) White North.  Snow is rapidly retreating from the woods and my lawn, and I'm planning on more yard work this weekend.  I'm hoping to get some stuff planted on my off Friday next week, before heading out on biz trip.

Heading to work in a couple of hours.  One can hope the rest of the week stays as quiet as last night was.

Sun is finally out today...supposed to reach 60, but it's not even close yet, so we shall see.

Been fighting a headache all morning...not bad, just irritating.

Baseball practice tonight, and nothing else too exciting on the agenda.

If this is any consolation to anybody, the Sandhills of Nebraska is buried under a blizzard today, although it's circa 30 degrees F.  Lots and lots of.....snow.

Taxes are done.

Shockingly we are getting a small amount of our money back.

I had an accounting exam this morning.  I didn't really study at all, but I feel good about my journal entries.

I have a group project due next Thursday.   We're comparing Jack Miller (founder of Quills) to Mark Cuban.  And this teacher wants something "fun and interesting" so a Power Point doesn't cut it...she wants like skits.   :whatever:

I hope work goes smoothly, I think I'm getting my review done today and let's just say the last few days at work haven't been that great.  Oh well, it's not like we were getting raises anyways.  I'm very poo-poo about work.

Anywho, so no real homework tonight, just scanning over some reading for my management class in the morning, so hopefully into bed at a decent time.

partly cloudy here.  Done with class for the day... I'm going to need a Trazadone tonight after the sleepless night I had last night.  Anyone got one? :(

Just going to chill out here, eat some lunch, and maybe take a short nap before going to work.

Someone actually turned in my student id, so I didn't have to get another one after all...was all set to get the new one made, but when I walked into the ID office, they recognized me and went digging through a small stack of lost cards and handed it to me.    :cheersmate:

Cloudy and off and on sprinkles....supposed to be 70 and sunny. Hmmmm....not even close....

Waiting for emails and doing paperwork, then going to get a mani/pedi done this evening.  :-)
Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

You mean you still look like your ID?

I "lost" my freshman year ID and went to have a senior year replacement made.

Didn't even look like the same person. First one was a bright eyed, bushy tailed guy right out of High School, the other one looked like Charles Manson without the forehead carving.

That's what four years of college does to ya.

The ID (and the photo for it) was made last semester, so not much change here. :)   (The college requires a new id every year).

I totally started watching it because of my obsession with the Gaff, but everyone on that show is hi-larious :)

I got a haircut today and removed the carpet from my car that got ruined by water.  Exciting! :p

Still no luck getting the horn or radio to work.

Yeah, guess it's that time of year for me to pull out the carpet mats from the car and do a little shampooing/spring cleaning on the doorframes, etc., so my car doesn't turn into a rust pile in a year.

Okay, home from a hell of a day at work.  I've been awake for 24+ hours and am miserable (because I can't fall asleep...:( ).  Allow me to reiterate...does anyone have a Trazadone or a Xanax available?  :bawl:

I'm going to take a relaxing bath shortly, and hope it can do something to ease my misery.

Finally got my AT & T rebate card in the mail.... what shall I do with it? Worth $50... but it has exclusions... WalMart and BestBuy are apparently off limits according to the fine print.   :bird:  Guess I'll spend it at work, unless anyone has any other ideas.

I'm not paying my bill with it! :asssmack:  :lmao:

I thought about getting some pork chops and baking them using a family recipe of seasonings, along with green beans.  Trying to think of another side-dish,but nothing good is coming to mind. :(
