Taliban kill 'US spy' as 'gift to Obama'

MIRANSHAH, Pakistan (AFP) — Taliban militants beheaded an Afghan in Pakistan's lawless tribal region after accusing him of spying for the United States, local police said Thursday.

The 35-year-old man was kidnapped one week ago and his body found Thursday in Razmak some 65 kilometers (43 miles) south of Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan, an official said.

"He was slaughtered overnight. His headless body was put on the roadside, police official Munir Khan told AFP.

A note found on the body of the man, identified as Shafiq Gul, said he was "spying for the US".

"Whoever spies for the US will face the same fate. This is a gift to (US President Barack) Obama," the note said.

I wonder if part of the note said: "We will kill one US spy a day until our free ponies arrive"

Are we surprised?  The world and especially terrorist KNOW that when there is a liberal Democrat in office they will be able to get away with this kind of behavior.  Case in point - the hostages that were freed the DAY that Reagan was put in office.  They KNEW Carter would or could do nothing....they KNEW that Reagan would be all over their asses.  And then Reagan's spearhead of putting sanctions on Iran for the behavior.  We are going to see more and more brazen acts because they KNOW that O will NOT have the guts to do anything about it.  Bush was hated in parts of the world (not the WHOLE world like the media likes to say) specifically because those places that wanted to do such things would be taken to the mat.  Now....well, we all know that not only will this happen more and more throughout the world but more than likely there will be more and more unrest here as well.

I'm thinking that Pakistan would be a great place to drop a few MOABs since we have yet to use them operationally that we here know of.

I'm sure Obama will be setting up a "tea time" with the Taliban any day now to calmly discuss this and see what he can do for them.  Maybe he'll take Jimmy Carter and Sean Penn with him to stroke their egos.  :banghead:
