I'm feeling really down right now, but I don't know how to gain any sympathy - If I shrug off the problem, no one knows and therefore can't help solve it or make me feel better about it - if I get angry, then I don't deserve to be heard - if I'm assertive, the target(s) get defensive. Help me out, what's a person to do??????

2. Thanks Mopinko...

It was just a "straw-camel" moment I guess. I'm the only one working; my spouse and daughter are searchers. Well, I pulled into garage and went in to spouse saying that he had pulled his car out of the drive and into the access street to allow me the garage space when I got home - Well, I clocked out 15 minutes later than usual and by the time I got there, the tow truck had "randomly" yanked his vehicle and it was going to cost $150 to get back.

Didn't need that just then, and spouse was just trying to be nice to me...Geesh, moving vans block the drives for hours on moving days and others park in the street overnight without penalty - just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished. I can't really say there was stupidity involved, just a nice gesture to allow me the garage space. Now it just busted the balls off my budget.

5. I get like that sometimes.

It's like no matter which choice you make it'll be the wrong one, so you end up doing nothing (which is usually the wrong choice as well).

The best option might be to try to talk to a counselor instead of those close to you. I find that talking to someone outside of the situation can help a lot. They don't get defensive, and they understand why you might be angry as well. It would be better than shrugging it off, which may only make things worse.

I ignored all my problems until my wife walked out on Christmas Eve a few years back. Don't make the same mistake I did. If you really feel this is deeper than just a passing bit of depression you really need to get on top of it. Once you slide in deep it's so hard to climb back out.

1.)  Just like the choice y'all made in November?  Hmmmm??

2.)  No dumbass, they don't understand why you may be angry .... you are paying them to listen not tell you you are right.

That is all.

This reads like something that UP wrote. :o
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I'm trying to figure out what she needs sympathy for. I mean it sounds like everyone there knows cars get towed when they're parked in certain places (moving vans being the exception)...including unemployed hubby. Surely he could have found a place to park that wasn't in a tow away zone even if that meant walking a half a block or so. Still, this doesn't sound like a life altering event. Just one of those stupid mistakes humans make from time to time. Of course if one is intent on having a crisis I guess one could certainly find some event from one's day to fill the bill...at least a $150.00 tantrum anyway.
