BOYNTON BEACH -- A 66-year-old man called 911 when he found out that Burger King ran out of lemonade, police said. Police arrested Jean Fortune on Friday night after police showed up to investigate his complaint at the Burger King 1521 W. Boynton Beach Blvd. and discovered that he had called because he was unhappy about the lack of lemonade. Fortune was charged with misusing the 911 system.

You know, I've never been to Florida, but I quite reasonably assume that native Floridians are some of the nicest people one can hope to meet.

I suspect that of all these really weird people from Florida who get into the news for doing really stupid stuff are transplants from other places, usually from the northeastern Atlantic states.

I'm no Stalinist, but at times, I think Florida would be much better off if it could expel all those residents who came there after, say, 1970, sending them back to their original states.

wELL, TRANSPLANTS DO SOME STUPID THINGS. Homer and Jewell Pryce from here were colossial pains in the ass. They were anoying and pushy, wanted to live in seclusion. So they retired to West (BY GOD!) VIRGINA. Got their 40 acre farm with a half mile long SHARED access drive. They took to bitching at their new neighbor a WV native about where he deove on the access road. Then they started filming the neighbor's comings and goings and complaining to the Sheriff.

So, one Sunday morning after Church, they started ragging on the man, so he got his winchester and killed them both, drove to the Sheriff and surrendered himself. Used the "they needed killing" defense, and got 10 years. He's now out.

They are not.

Didn't Clint Eastwood say "A man's gotta know his limitations"? Why do so few consider limitations today?

West Palm Beach is being over-run by haitian gangs.

Anyone living in palm beach (me) knows to stay away from anything east of I95 and west of US 1.

The rest of the area is beautiful.  I know, I live here. :-)
