Has police force been cut back in your neck of the woods?

Just heard a guy on CNN (I think they said he was retired FBI) say that the local police force of Atlanta had been cut 20%. (I think he said Atlanta)

Don't forget, anybody--we got the LONESTARNUT/HUNGER WATCH going on right now, although it's a little early yet, and it goes on for four years--chronicling hunger in the 0bamareich as complained by the primitives; and if one spots a fat primitive whining of hunger through January 20, 2013, it's worth $5 from my wallet to conservativecave.

16. That was one of the things the GWB admin did - it cut the community policing grants so that local law enforcement couldn't afford new hires. It replaced the community policing grants with terrorism grants so that LEO could buy weapons (e.g. tasers), equipment and have anti-terrorism training and those monies went to private corps that supplied and/or trained the LEO in anti-terrorism tactics.

Oh, the tax cuts meant less money to the state and local governments and that resulted in higher local/state taxes and cuts to schools and LEO, if folks retired or left for other jobs they slots were not always filled due to lack of adequate funding.

And of course there is a percentage of the LEO force that were weekend guardsmen that became active duty warriors thanks to GWB's wars.

FYI - merh is another Sun Herald forum poster except there she goes by DogLady and used to go by MerriamDOQ (I don't know why).  She knows everything about everything so don't even try to challenge her on her areas of expertise which again is everything.

Yeah, the "merh" primitive, the methamphetimine primitive from southernmost Mississippi.

Some of us became rather well-aquainted with the methamphetimine primitive circa four years ago, during Doug's ex-wife's Great Mischief.

Trust me, the "merh" primitive is a moonbat, and not only in her stupid politics.  Her cerebral workings are moonbat, her body structure is moonbat, her appearance is moonbat; just all really grotesque.  The methamphetimine primitive not only is a moonbat, but she looks exactly as one might imagine a moonbat looks like.

In other words, pretty much a waste of skin and hair.

Ok I'm confused I thought the police were a fascist group all controlled by Teh Rove so why would they want more of them?

My first encounter with mehr was not pretty.  My first post was asking the general group of posters how I could get an excuse from state court jury duty.  This jury duty consisted of being on call for eight weeks and to be available every Monday morning in case they needed a jury.  Now, I'm not opposed to jury duty but on call for eight weeks?  Really?  I own my own small business with no employees and part of my agreement with my doctors is that I am available 8-5 M-F in case they need something right away for good patient care. 

Anyway, I got the lecture from Miss Constitution herself about serving on jury duty and that serving on jury duty is way more important than working to support myself and my family.  That went on for days with the back and forth until I finally just ignored her.
