Wednesday. Is your Sun Also Rising?
« on: December 31, 2008, 10:54:44 AM »
Horry Clap it is cold out there.

Few errands to run today, optomotrist, groceries, etc. Nothing real major on the starting blocks.  Nice quiet meal at home and some fun time with the kids watching the ball drop on TV.

My wife is working her butt to the bone trying to get some year end stuff done at work.  She got home at 8:45 last night. Hopefully she will grace us earlier tonight.  :cheersmate:

What are ya'all doing to celebrate tonight if anything?

I'll be away from home tonight, and back on January 2nd sometime.

Nothing out of the ordinary; just the usual standard customary New Year's Eve.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe New Year's celebration! We'll stay in and drink to the New Year as always.

It's COLD outside today! And the wind is howling at 45mph. yikes!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Temp's doing a steady drop here, but so far the sun's out.

Supposed to meet friends around 9 this evening to ring in the New Year.....guess it will depend on how motivated we are. M no longer drinks alcohol (will be 3 years in March - I'm so proud of him!) so I don't worry about him driving...it's the other drunks out there that give me pause. The restaurant we're to meet at is across the street from a large sports bar.

Have some errands to run this afternoon. Thinking about fixing ribs, sauerkraut, smashed potatoes and cinnamon apples for tomorrow. I may live in the south but collard greens and black eyed peas are never in my diet.

Everyone be safe out there!!!

Just hand over the chocolate...back away slowly...far away....and you won't get hurt....

Save the Earth... it's the only planet with chocolate.

"My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far I've finished two bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already." – Dave Barry

A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands.
