Robber Threatens To Complain After Finding No Cash

(AP) Police say a central Pennsylvania man tried to rob a bank _ but tellers' empty cash drawers thwarted his attempt. Springettsbury Township Police Lt. Scott Laird said the tellers were waiting for their cash drawers to be filled when a man entered a Susquehanna Bank branch Thursday morning and demanded money. The first teller fainted and the next two showed him their empty cash drawers.

Laird says the robber then threatened to file a complaint with bank management before leaving.

A customer at the drive-through called 911. A 48-year-old man was arrested about 10 blocks away and was held in the York County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail. He was charged with criminal attempt to commit robbery.

Hmmmm, what are the odds the perp is acutally from Florida?   :-)

Obviously a brain dead liberal robber.  The illegal activity didn't go his way so he wants the issue addressed and the rules changed to favor him.

Management's new directive to stop complaints:   "All cash drawers will now be full before the doors are open."

Under the rule of the Big Zero, banks will not be allowed to disenfranchise the perps in this manner.  In an effort to be more "green" and improve efficiency, the money will simply be dlivered to the home of the perp (provided of course that he voted for Brock).

I can see a tort lawyer getting hold of this and suing the bank for failure to comply with the intent of a simple bank heist -- hmm, trying to think of a title for the legal brief:

"Failure to Provide a Suitable Venue for Bank Heists"

"It's Not the Defendant's Fault"

"Money, Money, Who's Got the Money?"

"Why Have Drawers Meant for Money if you Don't Fill 'Em?"

For pain and embarassment caused to the Defendant by the bank, I'd think a settlement of about $8,000 would be about right (less legal fees, of course).

That's nothing on the break and enter criminals that sue the homeowner, when the criminal trips over on a left out item, falls and breaks something (something that is unfortunatly non-critical), then sues the homeowner and WINS civil suit for injuries.

I guess the moral of the story is if you're gonna leave things out for a bugler to trip on, ensure they're sufficiently dangerous that the criminal is not going to be around to file suit after.

Anyone that breaks in on me won't have the option of counsel. With no kids, doesn't matter where I am, I have firearms throughout the house. My personal favorite is my Glock 36 for its size.
NAMBLA is a left-wing organization.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

You wouldn't limit yourself to using just one firearm would you?   :-)

A robber complaining a bank has no money to rob? What a moron!  :mental:
