Post Traumatic Wednesday.
« on: November 05, 2008, 07:17:25 AM »
Well Yesterday sucked.  :p

Cleaning the house up today for my Brother and nephew who are coming from MN to stay the night with us tomorrow. It will be good to see him as he works so damn much I hardly ever get to spend time with him.

Got the kids fed and eldest just cruised out to HS in her brand new braces.

I'm tired and I want my wife back from England.

Life goes on! I have a test this morning after I work out. My house is a wreck(again) and it's time to take the Halloween decs down this afternoon.

You know, I'm just not a miserable person so despite the disappointment, I'm good.  :cheersmate:

When's the wife coming home asdf? Sounds like you really want all your peeps in one place. *hugs*

Trying to figure out dinner (have an extra kid tonight, as a favor to a dance mom, so I gotta fix "real" food I guess before I send them off to dance!).

Gotta run a couple errands at some point (again, for dance stuff)

Got the bills paid this morning, and the dishwasher is running.  Still have a couple loads of clothes to fold though.

I'll admit, I'm bummed about the whole election thing, and I worry about finances.  I also fear that Mr Flame's job will be RIFed, and we'll have to move AGAIN.  But, life will go on.

I've been awake since 1 this morning.  I'm going to take a nap I think.  The news is just too depressing this morning.

I was text messaging with my friend last night until 1....we were on email while watching the results but her email is through the university and thought she better switch to the phone.

Life does go on....I have 7 reports due between now and 8 tomorrow night. 4 are due today, so it will keep me occupied and not focused on what happens next.

Today was a bad day... I just got word that I may not get into the program here at my college, at least for this year.  I have a couple of bad grades that are mucking everything up. :(  Well, I do have back-up plans in case the miracle I'm hoping for doesn't happen.  I'll apply to a couple of technical colleges in Atlanta, so we'll see what happens.

Teh half-dozen or so moonbats in my office are walking around with sh*t-eating grins on their little faces.  All they can talk about is "landslide".   :whatever:

No work for me today. I was out late at a friend's house yesterday.  I got to sleep in this morning, though my body was trying to wake me up at 7:30am.  :whatever:

I have an easy test this afternoon at school, that's the only thing on my plate for today.

"Since when is five points a landslide?"

"Can I take your picture now, so I can tease you with it in about six months when Obama's popularity rating hits the single digits?"

"If five points is a landslide, what were Reagan's wins in the eighties?"  (10 and 18 points)

Those who see their lives as spoiled and wasted crave equality and fraternity more than they do freedom. If they clamor for freedom, it is but freedom to establish equality and uniformity. The passion for equality is partly a passion for anonymity: to be one thread of the many which make up a tunic; one thread not distinguishable from the others. No one can then point us out, measure us against others and expose our inferiority.

Avalanche.

Remember that word.

It will come in handy in 2012. :-)

Eh no biggie. It's Wednesday and life goes on all per teh Roves plan. We survived Jimeah Cartier and we'll survive Barracks Bomber. Another inexperienced moron to sit at the helm of the ship while the crew steers it along for 4 years. When his fan base figures out he's a know nothing puppet they'll abandon his ass in droves just like teh plan says.

Really?  Remind them that the last "landslide" we had was after Carter--another Dem with a supermajority in Congress and a popular revolt against the GOP in the 1970's.  And after a couple of years of his shit--oh, sorry, I meant "malaise"--we decided we'd had enough of the liberal brand of "hope" and "change".

I just pray that 1--someone of Reagan's stature is out there, 2--we recognize it come 2012.

Amen, brotha.  Clinton won in 1992 by five points, and in 1996 by over eight.  I don't recall either one of them being called landslides.

One thing to note, however--of the three presidents in the past half-century who have won elections with a plurality of the vote (LBJ, Carter, Obama), does anyone think that any one of the three was/will be worth a shit?

I called out sick...Not because of the election but because I am sick.  Hope to feel better tomorrow so I can really feel the disappointment of watching Sarah fly back to Alaska.
