You're NOT going to be driven underground to live in the sewers for the next four years.
Perhaps not literally, but don't expect our message to be told without some serious persecution; ala Joe The Plumber.
You're NOT going to be deported.
Gee, considering I live here, that's mighty big of you ****ers.
You're NOT going to start contributing 50% or 75% or 90% of your paycheck for "socialist wealth redistribution."
Bullshit--I already do.
You're NOT going to see your religion banned or outlawed.
No, just attacked, mocked, and ridiculed.
You're NOT going to receive a visit from the Federal government asking you to hand in your guns.
Maybe you better read what Feinstein said a few years back. She's got the votes now.
You're NOT going to see the Russians/Chinese/Al Qaeda walking down Main Street in your town having "been handed the keys by Barack Obama" or some such drivel.
Really? Care to explain how you'll be more effective by hugs and kum-bah-ya bullshit?
You're NOT going to see your children forced to marry blacks, turn gay, become Satanist, or any other insane nonsense.
Nice broad brush you're painting with there.
You're NOT going to see abortionists in your children's schools looking for eager customers.
You're going to get rid of the ones already there? I'd love to see you doing that, but I'm not holding my breath.
And in four years, when all these fears and terrors you have concerning President Obama fail to materialize, I hope you will have the guts and decency to admit you were wrong about him and vote for his re-election.
In four years, you're going to have a helluva time finding anyone to ADMIT they voted for Obama. This guy is going to make Carter look like a friggin genius by comparison.
Now for my side, here's what I'm not going to see.
Reality, for starters.
I'm NOT going to see my country continue to be looted and ruined by the failed economic policies of a failed political party.
Only if the Democrat party commits suicide en masse come tomorrow should McCain win.
I'm NOT going to see the rich pampered, praised and petted endlessly at the expense of everyone else because "they create jobs, so they're better than us!"
Does that include Pelosi, the Kennedys, John Kerry, to name a few? Nobody said the rich were "better" except you. Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the expression, "No poor man ever signed my paycheck."
I'm NOT going to be told that as an agnostic, I am somehow un-American or "bad" for not being religious despite living in a nation touted so loudly for its freedoms (especially by those who seem unwilling to extend any freedom to anyone else)
I'd love to know who told you that. No, you're only bad because you're a delusional ****.
I'm NOT going to be told I'm un-American or stupid for supporting politicians that actually care about the middle class and families like mine.
Newsflash--they care more about getting re-elected than they do about you. Always have, always will. You're just a dumbass who they can count on to pull the lever for them each and every time regardless of how badly they **** you over.
I'm NOT going to see endless war promoted by politicians who would be only too happy to throw my two sons into the fires of war in order to make a profit for themselves and their campaign contributors.
You mean like Vietnam, WWI, WWII, and Korea? Matter of fact, I don't think Korea ever did end.
I'm NOT going to be lectured about how only white Republican redneck Christians are real Americans or are somehow better than me, a white Independent agnostic.
Twice with the agnostic bullshit--you got a complex or something?
I'm NOT going to be told "there's no money for education, health care, cleaning up the environment or any of those wacko leftist causes, but there's ALWAYS plenty of money for Wall Street and the Pentagon!"
Wall Street shouldn't have been bailed out. And please show me where the government is supposed to provide for your basic needs. Last time I checked, that was on your worthless whiny ass.
So I'll just go ahead and say "Thank you!" to Obama and Biden (and all who made their election possible) right now, for giving me the hope that things are actually going to turn out OK for this country and the future of my 3 kids (and their entire generation). Let's hope the rabid right can spend some time actually thinking things through for a change, but if they refuse to we can remain comforted they'll always be the tiny marginalized 20% that stubbornly remains completely outside of reality.
You mean like the marginalized 0.000001 percent that makes up the bubble of delusion that is DU? Thanks for playing.
