Chalk up another early death for Generation X

Another old classmate of mine died last night at the ripe old age of 41. I can't even count how many of my old friends aren't around anymore. Tim wasn't a close friend but one of those guys that remembered you from school and instantly befriended you because of that. We didn't really know each other well in school as he was a year ahead of me but in later days we used to frequent the same watering holes and became pretty good aquaintances then. Tim was just one of those positive beings in the universe who was genuinely nice to just about anyone he'd meet. He leaves behind a fiance. I don't even know how he died as the obit didn't say, but that's just too damn young for any reason. Good journey to you my friend. Sleep in peace.

1. 158 reads and no replies

Thought I might get at least one "virtual hug" around here for mourning a friend.

Guess not. Thanks DU.

After which the primitives finally fall into line, offering condolences.

8. less my loss than his family's but as I said Tim was a good guy

It's just not fair that evil men seem to get to live out their years in this world.

Yeah, one thinks of Vast Teddy for one, and Fidel for another.

After which the primitives squibble-squabble about the meaning of "Baby Boomer" and "Generation X," the dividing line.

None of the primitives get it right.

baby boomer = born 1946-1964, although those born during the latter part are nothing like those born during the earlier part.
generation x = born 1965-1980.
generation y = born after 1980, and that generation on whose shoulders the future of America lies, the baby boomers have sucked it dry and generation x having been too small, too impotent, too unenergetic to do anything about it.
apres moi, le deluge

Ya think that the fact that he wasn't a close friend has something to do with it. :uhsure:
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

Yes, virtual hugs are only for "close" friends.

It's not like the guy was all despondant and depressed over the guy dying. It was an acquaintance, a drinking buddy. Unless the REMOTE possibility that the deceased owed the DUmmy money on a bar tab. Then I could see how he would regret the guys demise.

Right; it's just that the shadowy primitive wanted some attention.

Sigmund Freud, even though dead, could spot that in a second.

Thank Roe v Wade for that!

Can you imaging the control that the liberals would have if those children were alive.

Give me a BS now. I'm anti abortion, and Roe v Wade should be overturned, but the thought of all those liberal offsprings give me the chills. Libs are killing their own base and still have a larger segment of the populace.

If he'd just given the DUmp some advance warning, they could've channelled tons of healing white light his way, and he'd probably still be with us.

Healing white light nearly always does the trick.
