Florida and USC fall this week. Who's #1?
« on: September 27, 2008, 03:21:15 PM »
Can't say my Buckeye's are in the discussion or will be for awhile.  :( However, there is plenty of time left to go. The Big 10 is not terrible this year with a strong Wisconsin and Penn State and Illinois all ranked. (tOSU is too)

Georgia and Oklahoma both play good teams later today and wins should have both with a good case to argue they are the new top team. Oklahoma is already at #2 in the AP and the Coaches poll (before SC lost) but Georgia should get extra points if they beat a tough Alabama team.

What say you CC?

Well Georgia is getting shit-hammered by Bama. Maybe Alabama should have been on my short list. Also the Badgers lost to freakin' Michigan so I may have spoke to soon about the Big 10. (Penn State and Illinois are at eachother pretty good right now though.

hmmm

Another fun year of college ball on the way!  :hyper:

I'm going with the Sooners (even though I hate those wretched Texas talent thieving bastards). Since Georgia has officially had their ass handed to them by 'Bama, I don't think there's a reasonable argument that they should move up. The Gators fall to Ole Miss??? WTF? You're right, though. This IS going to be an interesting season. If Oklahoma wants in on the title game, they're still going to have to earn it. They've still got Texas, Okie State (which sometimes gets interesting), and a fairly salty Texas Tech team in the Big 12 south. Not sure who they play from the north, but they'll likely have to get through Mizzou in the Big 12 title game if they don't meet them sooner. If they make it through THAT gauntlet, it would be hard to argue that they shouldn't get a shot at the BCS.

On a sad note, my beloved Texas Aggies suck ass and Mike Sherman can smoke a turd in hell for his horrendous play calling. :censored:

My apologies to frank, but it's the Sooners.

OU doesn't play Missouri in the regular season and they get Texas Tech, Kansas and Nebraska at home. At OSU and Texas will be challenges.

Edited to add: WhoTF voted "Other" and then failed to expand on that conclusion?  ::)

That's still a pretty rough schedule. If they were to make it through unscathed, then not get a shot at the title, there'd be rioting in Norman. Although I hate the Sooners, I'd probably join in on the riots on pure principle.
