Side by side comparison of the two tax proposals

Quote
According to a new analysis by the Tax Policy Center, a joint project of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are both proposing tax plans that would result in cuts for most American families. Obama's plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy. For the approximately 147,000 families that make up the top 0.1 percent of the income scale, the difference between the two plans is stark. While McCain offers a $269,364 tax cut, Obama would raise their taxes, on average, by $701,885 - a difference of nearly $1 million.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

Everyone who makes pays taxes should get a tax cut. Giving money to those that pay little or no taxes is just welfare or wealth redistribution.

They need a little bracket showing who pays 90% of all taxes now. -- and who will under each proposal.

Follow-up -- in 2005, the top 20% of all taxpayers (income apx. 100,00+) paid 68.7% of all taxes and 86.3% of all personal income taxes!

The top 1% of all taxpayers ($250,000+, but average 1 million or so) paid 31% (ONE THIRD) or all taxes and 19% (ONE FIFTH) of all personal income taxes.

Talk to me about "fair share," folks.

BHO's main goal is to increase the Earned Income Tax Credit (here non-taxpayer, have some money !) and to put more po folks into that status (vote buying).

How much more should those low income votes cost ?

So the lowest "income earners" <cough> would get the biggest "tax break".  Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't these people already pay no taxes?     So we are giving them money for nothing, basically.
