When I saw the phrase from DU "Nobel Prize Economist", had a hunch it was that worthless slob Krugman. A guy who has never been right in his laughable history of predictions not just about the economy, but life in general.

Ditto. That was my reflexive guess as well. Krugman is one of the few economists DU-folk would find palatable. Ignoring facts they don't want to hear or be heard is a thing on DU, so they haven't really noticed that Krugman's accuracy isn't.
