I don't know how high the unemployment rate is, but I'm sure TSF is covering it up.
In the real world, LIEden's Labor Department fudged monthly jobs statistics for at least 2023 and 2024
Under normal circumstances there would be an extension of unemployment benefits but that is not going to happen now.
In the real world, unemployment benefits normally only lasted for 6 months.
In the real world, extending the benefits longer than that was a
temporary measure during the Covid shutdowns.
The administration has been cutting thousands of jobs since day one.
Not being a gooberment-loving Prog, I view trimming gooberment bloat as a good thing.
AI is eliminating jobs. But is our government doing ANYTHING about it? **** no.
Government "did nothing" about automobiles eliminating buggy whip and horse-drawn wagon makers' jobs. Government "did nothing" about computers eliminating typewriter makers' and secretaries' jobs. Government "did nothing" about table-top payment terminals that reduced restaurant servers' jobs.  Government "did nothing" about self-checkout stations that reduced store clerks' jobs. "Talkie" movies eliminated theater organists ... I could go on.
The point is, it is not government's business to suppress technological progress.
