While these major races in November 2025 are over 1,000 miles away from ol' Uncle Ralphie, have been inundated with discussion of Fox/Fox Business/Newsmax so each of these have been emerging to the forefront. And perhaps they could be an auger towards how things go in the real 2026 mid-terms. So here are my thoughts and unofficial predictions:
Each of the Democrats are almost exclusively running not against their opponent in the race, but Cheeto Mussolini Donald Trump. This seems to be the big leftist ploy, and certainly has been since he won the Presidency in 2016. Sometimes it works, and in many cases the opposite applies as it energizes voters locally to vote Republican as a support for the President and the party.
New York City MayorSadly for New Yorkers, Commie Mamdani appears to be on the verge of winning and will attempt to make the financial capital of the world look like Havana. The dude is a communist thru and thru if anyone has listened to the rosy horse hockey promises and statements he has made. He's still going to win. Curtis Sliwa, the nominal Republican, could drop out and it still wouldn't make a difference.
The Commie wins with 43% of the vote, Handsy Andy Cuomo at 33%, and the aforementioned Sliwa will garner 12%. Have fun with that New York.
Virginia Goobernatorial Race and the Virginia Attorney General RaceIntentional mis-spelling. Democrat Congresscritter Abigail "SPAM" Spanberger vs. VA Lieutenant Governor Winsome Earle-Sears.
Was wrong about my 2021 prediction that Democrat Goon Terry "McAful" McAuliffe would beat Glenn Youngkin, and thankfully my prediction did not come to fruition. He was a damn solid conservative Governor, and a touch sorry that he is term-limited out, at least until 2029 when he could run again.
Have a bad feeling that Earle-Sears won't be able to garner the Democrat voters that Youngkin did, mostly from the racist Democrats. Sigh, SPAM-berger will win by a hair.
The good news is in the AG race, where incumbent conservative Jason Miyares is not term-limited, is running against a thug in Democrat Jay Jones who wanted to (and probably still does) murder the former Virginia Republican State House Speaker and his children. If you haven't heard about Jay Jones' multiple scandals, they are easily findable with a rudimentary search.
Miyares wins handily, and perhaps gets Earle-Sears over the top as well.
New Jersey Goobernatorial RaceDemocrat Congresswoman Mikey Sherrill versus former assemblyman Republican Jack Ciattarelli. Jack lost narrowly to current Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy in the last go-round, and his credentials lean more RINO, but I'd take that over a crazy woman with a "D" after or preceding her name.
Sigh yet again, because I have a hunch the Dems will pull this out as well. They are traditionally strong in that corridor of the country, and it is difficult to get people to change their ways.
Really want to be an optimist on these races, just can't see it.
