DUmmie claim:

ICE lied about the shooting in Chicago....
ICE agents fired inside the car of a CBS News reporter in Chicago this morning after she simply drove by an ice facility to cover possible protest. There were no protesters present, which means the ice agent decided he wanted to shoot her. Local police have now begun a criminal investigation of ICE
What actually happened:
Broadview police probe federal agent who shot pepper rounds at CBS reporter's vehiclehttps://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/broadview-police-probe-federal-agent-who-shot-pepper-rounds-at-cbs-reporters-vehicle/3830881/Broadview’s top cop says he’s opened an investigation into federal agents following an allegedly unprovoked attack on a CBS News Chicago reporter’s vehicle Sunday.
Broadview Police Chief Thomas Mills said in a statement that chemical agents were “fired from the direction” of federal agents toward a reporter’s vehicle. The reporter who was targeted declined medical attention.
...
In a report Sunday night, CBS said reporter Asal Rezaei was alone, driving her truck to the facility early Sunday when a masked federal agent shot pepper balls at her from about 50 feet inside the fence. There were no protests or protesters on scene at the time.
The chemical round hit Rezaei’s driver’s-side panel, causing the chemical powder to fill the inside of her truck, leaving white residue on her windshield and causing her face to feel “on fire for at least the last 10 minutes or so,” Rezaei told Broadview police, according to the report. The chemical also caused her to vomit once outside her truck.
So:
* Contrary to what the DUmmie implied, the ICE agent did not use a firearm (= lied by omission);
* Contrary to what the DUmmie claimed, the ICE agent did not fire the pepper ball inside the reporter's vehicle;
* Key admission by the reporter, "... I did not identify myself verbally as a member of the press." IOW, the ICE agent saw a vehicle approaching and did not know that the driver was a lone reporter rather than the first carload of "protesters".
What has been "reported" is the reporter's claims. What has been learned since September 28th when this apparently happened I've not seen.
From
https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/broadview-criminal-investigations-ice-activity-facility-fence/ , the City of Broadview is hostile to ICE people defending themselves:
Broadview officials said Tuesday they have opened three criminal investigations into actions by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and the Department of Homeland Security around their facility in the west suburb.
Mayor Katrina Thompson, Broadview Police Chief Thomas Mills and Acting Fire Chief Matt Martin all spoke harshly about the actions at the Broadview ICE facility, especially the use of chemical agent and tear gas on protesters outside.
"The relentless deployment of tear gas, pepper spray and mace at the ICE facility is endangering nearby village residents, harming police officers, harming firefighters and American citizens exercising their First Amendment rights," Mayor Thompson said.
From ICE,

WASHINGTON — Acting ICE Director Todd M. Lyons sent a letter responding to Broadview Mayor Katrina R. Thompson's letter sent to ICE’s Chicago field office director Sept. 26. The mayor's letter made outlandish accusations, including of “making war” on the community of Broadview.
“Unfortunately, the Broadview Processing Center continues to face violence and unlawful activity by rioters. The relentless actions of these individuals — and their attempts to obstruct the enforcement of federal law — are unacceptable.”
“We have repeatedly requested assistance from state and local law enforcement, including your own police department, to disperse these unlawful assemblies. Instead, local inaction has enabled agitators to escalate violence and placed federal officers, first responders, and Broadview residents in harm’s way.”
“Failure to help provide relief makes you a party to the obstruction of justice. There will be no change in our operational posture until these unlawful activities cease. The only siege in Broadview is the one being waged against the United States government.”
There is no place for fearmongering, misinformation, or misplaced blame, which erodes public trust and may very well incite even more violence against the men and women of ICE.
Mayor Thompson is distorting reality, pointing her finger in the wrong direction, while our officers are protecting her community — and others — from real threats, while also facing skyrocketing violence against them, including at the Broadview facility. In the past week alone, violent rioters have been arrested for assault and obstruction, and three of them were carrying loaded firearms to protest.
