Prominent Clinton backer and DNC member to endorse McCain
« on: September 17, 2008, 02:28:04 AM »

mccain gets a hillaryite defector, and a prominent one, at at that.  I am sure that the obama camp will imply that the
fact that she has an exotic sounding name and is wealthy is just another piece of evidence in their case that john mccain
is "out of touch", or "doesn't get it", or whatever their lie of the day is tomorrow when she officially endorses mccain.

Prominent Clinton backer and DNC member to endorse McCain

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee, will endorse John McCain for president on Wednesday, her spokesman tells CNN.

The announcement will take place at a news conference on Capitol Hill, just blocks away from the DNC headquarters. Forester will “campaign and help him through the election,” the spokesman said of her plans to help the Republican presidential nominee.

Forester was a major donor for Clinton earning her the title as a Hillraiser for helping to raise at least $100,000 for the New York Democratic senator’s failed presidential bid.

In an interview with CNN this summer, Forester did not hide her distaste for eventual Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

“This is a hard decision for me personally because frankly I don't like him,” she said of Obama in an interview with CNN’s Joe Johns. “I feel like he is an elitist. I feel like he has not given me reason to trust him.”

That was awesome! Hi5 and if anything, Hussein deserves kudos for hiring Baghdad Bob. I still laugh anytime I see his image.

It has been ages since I saw Baghdad Bob! I still laugh every time I see him, lol.

The Obamessiah camp will no doubt say the ex Hillary supporter is a racist.

I mean she must be a racist. What other reason could there be for not voting for Obama? [/DU mode]

Forester is the CEO of EL Rothschild, a holding company with businesses around the world. She is married to international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild. Forester is a member of the DNC’s Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

I don't know if she will help or hinder, but the fact this money is not going to Obama is small step in the right direction.

Does anyone know whatever happened to old Bob?

Last I heard after the invasion, we caught up with him and had a chat, but let him go since he was....well, what he was. Pretty much a nobody in the grand scheme of things.

I saw this lady on Fox this morning; very well-spoken, thoughtful, and well, downright charming.

Are you sure she is a hillary supporter.  Charming and Hillary supporter don't usually fit together.

Shocked me too, but she was very personable and down-to-earth.

he was released, and had a sex change operation.  She/he currently has a talk show on MSNBC under her new name, "rachel maddow"
