As soon as I heard that Taylor Swift had gotten engaged to Travis Kelce I thought that there was a poor shmoe destined to be immortalized as a monster in one or more of her future record albums. My second thought was wondering what was the reaction to this news from Swift's number one fan, the Liberal Pink Hat Lady. I checked and the answer is "gushing teenybopper" despite the fact she is well into her fifties. As you can see, the Liberal Pink Hat Lady is the comedy gift that keeps on giving. The good news for her, is that her sad morbid attitude about the Trumpocalyse was forgotten amid all her teenybopper gushing over the engagement.

Maybe the engagement is Kelce's way of avoiding or postponing becoming the subject of one of her songs? Regardless, I don't wish them ill and do wish them well in ways not driven by mere wealth.

Kelce has recently hosted a season of a reboot of Jeff Foxworthy's "Are You Smarter Than ..." show, "Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity". Besides some amusement, Kelce's show is a good cure for  inclinations to seek social or political wisdom from celebrities (ditto for Jimmy Kimmel's "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" celebrity reboot, BTW).
