Explosion rocks Palm Springs reproductive health facility
Firefighters responded to a report of an explosion at a reproductive health facility in Palm Springs late Saturday morning.
Preliminary information from local media outlets indicated that the explosion occurred at American Reproductive Centers, which is located at 1199 North Indian Canyon Drive, around 11 a.m. NBC Palm Springs reported that the incident was a car explosion, although the exact nature was not immediately known.
Palm Springs city officials later put out a community advisory that confirmed the explosion occurred just before 11 a.m. near North Indian Canyon Drive and East Tachevah Drive.
“Palm Springs Police and Fire are currently on scene and request that residents stay away from the area so that emergency crews can work the incident. More details will follow,” the community alert said.

Not abortions.
If pro-lifer, then of the "every embryo is sacred" sort, but one that's willing to risk killing 10s of thousands of embryos to prove how pro-life they are.
Note that the cryogenics portion of the facility was not affected. (Although I have trouble believing that doesn't extend to killing all electricity to the facility and assume it means the integrity of the units and viability of the embryos.)
Perhaps a pro-lifer.
Perhaps somebody who confused it with an abortion clinic.
Perhaps somebody who didn't want what was 1/2 their embryo used. Or the 1/2 embryo of their son or daughter.
Maybe somebody who was incensed that a uterifer close to him/her was a surrogate for another couple's kid.
Or perhaps somebody who felt wronged by the clinic--after 4 attempts, "oops, sorry, we slipped and now you can't ever have kids." Or maybe just somebody who never conceived (or whose uterifer didn't conceive) and blamed the clinic.
Or maybe a guy who looked at his teenaged son and at the picture of the guy in charge of the clinic and thought, "Shit, I couldn't have kids, according to the first three doctors. Then, bam, my wife conceives. Twins. Even though neither of our families has a history of twins. And, you know, the twins look exactly like the clinic doctor--and look at this picture of him and his twin!"
This is all highly emotional territory. "It's my body" v "you're committing murder!" Or "that's my kid!" vs "no, you just donated your egg."
At this point we know a car went boom so that it was hard to recognize as a car. Human remains were reported. No need to be the first at the red light.

Also hate IVF they think it's just as evil as abortion. It was likely a pro lifer.
If Conclusion-Jumping were an Olympic event, DU-grade Progs would sweep the medals platform. As I posted on the KTLA FB thread about this event,
"Since this place does IVF, I do not think it would bother pro-abortion or Pro-Life people."Having been among Pro-Life people since the 1970s, I can say I have never heard opposition to IVF expressed, let alone anger. I realize I'm one person with limited acquaintances, but among our family acquaintances are the leader of the turn-of-the-century local Survivors group and the founder of a nationwide Pro-Life organization whose picture probably has been posted on PP employee bulletin boards (or dart boards?).
On a
take-it-with-a-block-of-salt basis, I'll mention having seen an anonymously sourced claim that the person killed is the bomber. From
https://abcnews.go.com/US/explosion-shakes-palm-springs-residents-instructed-stay/story?id=121910709 :
Investigators believe the person who died was the suspect in the blast, according to a law enforcement source.
