'Neighbors are gone': New Mexico community shaken as dozens 'forcibly disappeared' by ICE
https://www.rawstory.com/ice-disappeared-48-new-mexico-residents-attorneys-say/

In the first week of March, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says it arrested four dozen New Mexico residents as part of immigration raids in Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Roswell.

Now those people are unaccounted for, according to an American Civil Liberties Union of New Mexico civil rights complaint filed Sunday, which alleges all 48 “have been forcibly disappeared.”

“What we know is people in our community are gone, workers are gone, family members are gone, our neighbors are gone,” said Marcela Díaz, founding executive director of Somos un Pueblo Unido.

According to ICE’s own announcement, it arrested most of those people not for criminal convictions, but for violations of civil immigration law, such as illegal entry or re-entry after deportation. Díaz said Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Roswell’s mayors told members of her organization that they didn’t know the arrests would happen, and that ICE had assured them they would only be going after people with criminal convictions.

how deportation works.

We'll have none of your sass, little mister!

Population of Albuquerque, ~565,000

Population of Roswell, ~47,000

Roswell is about half way across the state from Albuquerque.

The deportation of a mere 48 criminals is a drop in the bucket in those communities, not the crisis the American Criminal Liberties Union is trying to Chicken-Little it to be.

OTOH, I wonder how many sexual offenders and violent assaulters were among those 48 criminals.

ICE told the illegal criminal invaders they were going to raid in 4 business days but raided in 2 days.... you know since there is no such thing as a business day.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Since Roswell was involved you can't rule out that posibilty.

That reminds me of an interview I saw years and years ago with one of the guys that hosted the old That's Incredible show. The interview might have took place on the Tonight Show. Anyway, he said that a woman had contacted them and claimed that an alien took her into his UFO and had sex with her. When they investigated they found that it was a '57 Chevy instead of a UFO, and instead of a space alien, it was an illegal alien.

I'm pretty sure that illegal entry is a criminal offense, and that re-entry after deportation is a felony.

It appears that this DUmmy likes media that lies to it.

Incidentally, it appears that the island is on lockdown again.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

:rotf: Almost a full day and just three Replies. I blame stoned for committing truth. And/Or maybe it was the partisan stupidity of RawStory's "forcibly disappeared", :rotf: .

:rotf: Speaking of stoned, (s)he hasn't been MIRTed, surprisingly.
