"'Choose Love' is appropriate to use as our country has endured in recent weeks wild fires in southern California, the terrorist attack here in New Orleans, the plane and helicopter crash near our nation’s capital and the plane crash in Philadelphia," McCarthy said.

My emphasis. Unsurprisingly, context and the NFL's actual statement, ummmmmm, spoils the narrative DU-Denizens wish were true.

The NFL is racist you say? Makes me wonder why such a racist league would allow 60+% of its players to be black.

Editing to add: I don't know if that's the current percentage, but it is bandied about that it is in that range.

The Eagles' QB is black, and KC's QB is "biracial". The NFL's "color line" got broken in 1946 by the LA Rams.

On a website that I pay for access to (The Athletic, which is owned by the New York Times), here was this ridiculous article title:

It isn't worth your or my time to post the whole blather (and I did read it), but was pleasantly surprised to see that over the 2,000 comments from the mostly leftist types who frequent that cesspool, 90% were ridiculing the premise.

Yes, to the left "diversity" is still a work in progress as there are still White players in the game. When there are no White players full diversity will finally be attained.

They want to keep racism a thing. It's historically been their #1 go-to card. But like paper straws, silent films, and Hillary,  the race-card's time is mostly over.
