What pisses me off the most about the US healthcare and insurance systems
Is that every other developed, relatively wealthy country has put together a better, less expensive system. They take a variety of forms. Each has shortcomings but none are as severe as those in the US. But we refuse to learn about these systems and adopt the best parts of them, apparently because we love giving administrators and some providers extremely high pay, and corporations profits, more than we love our people and efficient and effective use of $. Couple that with too many people’s unwillingness to believe other countries do it better, and they care too little to learn, and you have our present mess.

That’s American exceptionalism for you.

It's a shell game, $$-wise. Residents of those countries don't pay $$ to healthcare providers or insurance companies, BUT instead pay that $$ to the government in taxes.

As to "better", why do Canuckians go to the US and pay their own $$ for some healthcare tests and procedures? Why is "healthcare tourism" a thing in the UK? The answer is simple. Delays for tests, treatments, and surgical procedures are experienced by those countries' citizens as prolongation of pain and disabilities and sometimes even as preventable deaths.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

For me it is the democrat party scam called "affordable Obama care.

For example my health insurance decreased from $450/month to $1367/month in less than 10 years. Pretty sure it will decrease to $1500+/month in 2025.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Fortunately you saved $2500 and got to keep your insurance and doctor so there's that.
