I'm watching and this is fascinating Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 10:41 AM by clear eyePhilippe Sands, the British author of the book, Torture Team, chronicalling the torture of one prisoner at Guantanamo says that his research indicates that the Bush administration officials, particularly Rumsfeld, will have a real problem w/ being prosecuted as war criminals if they ever travel abroad after Bush's term ends. And that there is the possibility that future U.S. gov'ts once the passions of the moment have cooled will be more likely to prosecute members of the Bush administration. The panel has also expressed extreme disapproval of a truth and reconciliation commission because of the likelihood of whitewash. The moderator is falsely saying that Pelosi is off the hook because there would not be the 2/3 majority to impeach. That ignores the momementum created by real impeachment hearings with the presentation of all the evidence of wrong-doing and its contextualization by the Congressional interrogators.

Unfortunately community activists seem more interested in a truth and reconciliation commission in which they can be involved, than in prosecutions that will result in deterrence and the restoration of the force of the Constitution.
"Impeachment"-The new STD.......even more deadly than AIDS.
