Mom needs money for a ride and prescription

Hi, my mom and I don’t have any money for a ride to get her important anxiety prescription. In the past, she’s needed to go to the hospital when she didn’t have it. So this is very serious. I’m requesting $50 to cover the ride, the prescription and being able to get out a couple of times before her Social Security comes in. Any amount you can give would be appreciated and I’ll delete this when I reach $50.

We had one offer but it was way too low. We’ve owed on the mortgage for a long time. We’re lucky to still be in the house. So we need close to the sale price. Business has really slowed down but the real estate agent said it is like that all around in September and October. Thanks for asking, Deb!

11. Pharmacy closes at 9 Eastern

I really don’t want mom to go another day.

It’s only a few miles but fares are high and we literally just have a couple dollars. Walking is not an option on that road with no side area. I have looked into the PA Department of Aging ride share program and must wait for the application. Could be an option later. No good neighbors or friends or family to help.

I pointed out to him on one of his previous threads that there is a SEPTA bus stop around 400 or 500 yards from his house where he could get wherever he wanted to go for around 2 dollars.  He never responded.

I really didn’t want to create this but I hope everyone understands I had to. We can still get to the pharmacy tomorrow if we get help. $15 would at least get the prescription.

Is there a name, other than mvd, of a parasite who leeches off of leeches? Also, does anyone have a grand total for the amount of money that mvd has scammed from his fellow DUmmies though all of his leechathons?

Finally, in the minuscule chance that a liar on a site populated by liars who are world famous for lying is actually telling the truth, I live in a rural, evil rethug area in the middle of nowhere, we'd just call a friend or family member. In the there's no friend or family members available, we have a county transit that operates small buses. I was told be a friend, whose husband is a medical doctor in our county, tell me that those buses will take a citizen of the county almost anywhere for a very low price, and if you're a senior citizen in the county, that low price is around a dollar.

With all of that said, I have to concur with Saul call him Paul: if a man won't work, neither should he eat.

Just my suspicion, but looks like Paypal may have cut him off. He used to use the Gofund website, but conveniently switched to Paypal after poo-pants Pam (Dempjeep, now banned from DU) filed a fraud alert with Gofund. Now it appears he isn't running a Paypal fundraiser, you can only do regular paypal transfers to him.  I think  Matt's scam is coming to a close.
Additionally, I don't necessarily think this is a full-on scam. I think pieces of the story are true, but the truth is that he's simply leeching off of his mom's SS and refuses to work or even make any sort of simple effort at all. He's just a bum who refuses to work and is even too damned lazy to walk to the grocery store.

First, it saddens me to learn that Pam is banned from the asylum. Her BS was sometimes quite entertaining. Second, it's hilarious that one of DU's most seasoned fabricators and braggarts turned him in to GoFundMe. Was he stealing some of Pam's thunder or something?

It started when Pam gave him like 100 bucks or something early on, then realized she got stung and scammed, then started demanding her money be returned. She went all-out, posted the market value of his house and everything. I don't know for sure why she got FFR'd, but it was very shortly after that little scrap with MVD/Matt. I **think** I'm remembering the details correctly. She even totaled up all of his gunfund cash and posted it at really opened the DUmmies eyes. I think it was over 10 Grand he had extracted from the idiots over the course of a year, and that was probably a year ago, and many beg-a-thons have had his name on them since.
Since then, most of the DUmmies have been blasting him every time he tries again. His newest panhandling thread was already locked 1/2 hour ago due to his self-delete. It's always "this will be my last one for a while" and "I really didn't want to post this but mom...."

Interesting. You know if he was scamming them that he's most likely been scamming elsewhere. There's no telling how much he's scammed, but I'm sure as a good big government proponent that he's reported it all on his taxes. <- I don't know how I was able to type that part while laughing.

I actually looked that up in the past. In general, "gift" money is exempt from taxation as long as it's not spent on a business venture or business expense. Basically, as long as the donor doesn't receive anything in return for the money, it's free. Huge bummer because i'm sure Poo-Pants Pam would have called the IRS on his worthless a**. Watching him have to hand over half of it to the IRS would be comedic, to say the least.
