they will mysteriously become won the day after he is elected, should that come to pass.  just like the economy was miraculously in full blown recovery the day after bildo clinton beat bush41.

if I am not mistaken Obama stole a McCain line when he said "after 9-11 I would not have told people to go shopping but to volunteer.! Didn''t MCain say that in the first forum at the church?

Obama gives props to Bush on AIDS.  Ya heard him say it, DU.

I forget how many billions he budgeted for AIDS research every year, and foreign assistance for AIDS in africa.  it was a jaw dropping number.

more than any president to date. Bono went around the world thanking President Bush for his largesse.

now we are comparing obama to kennedy. :whatever:

am I the only person in the world that thinks that kennedy was, at best, a very mediocre president?

i honestly have no idea what kind of a president he was as i was still in utero when he died and looking backwards, we can always see the mistakes of course, but I have lived long enough to see that this country wipes all the dirt off our celebrities who die young and embues them with a fairy tale that was never there before..

I guess I thought there was such a thing as objective history if you looked hard enough. :-)  I believe lincoln was a great president, and my grandparents weren't born when he was assassinated. :uhsure:

Did anyone catch Obama's phrase "when I was in the back, listening...."?

I swear I heard him say that. None of the Fox commentators made mention of it, either.

He said it, and quickly said something else.....like he wanted to cover up that he had said it.

He said a lot of the same things McCain said, sometimes almost word for word. Which Fox did comment on.

Either Obama was listening to the questions and McCain's answers....or someone else was giving him a word for word replay.

They didn't hide the fact that Obama was able to listen to McCain's responses.  Actually, it was one of the first things the interviewer stated before they began.

That explains it, thanks. We were having a storm and the satellite was goofy for the first 10 minutes or so.

But I question the fairness of it.....especially in view of the polls rising in favor of McCain. Seems like Obama was able to pick up on the audience response to McCain's answers and adjust accordingly.

foxnews was also having audio problems for the first few minutes.  they cut out on me several times, and I am cable.

I think this was a really bad idea to have this fluff nonsense on 9/11.     McCain should have taken a pass on it.

doing it on 9/11 was the whole idea . . . having a non-partisan "discussion" about national service on the anniversary of 9/11 struck someone at foxnews as a good idea.  I agree with you, the whole thing was a massive bore.  but having them appear together was part of the concept.  it was a big :kumbaya: moment.

I was watching Fox too...I thought it was all our satellite.  Our house sits down low and surrounded by very tall trees...if the wind blows hard....our sat goes goofy. :banghead: We don't have cable in our subdivision. :bawl:
