I remember watching Joe Biden speaking on the Senate floor, pacing into the aisle
...he had a seat where he could wander back and forth a bit as the camera followed him.

I used to watch for hours, mesmerized by his lectures on foreign policy; probably only one of a few C-Span viewers looking in most of the time.

That's the Joe Biden I remember. The president has the ability to navigate our nation's foreign policy commitments and needs in ways that bridge differences between parties and help advance important initiatives with leadership borne out of generations of experience.

He brings old-school rationality and understanding to difficult subjects for many Americans trying to fathom the differences between the people and groups here and around the globe in conflict with each other.

It's a small observation, but Joe Biden is one of the very few pols left who has a deep understanding and appreciation of the value of interrelationships between nations to our own nation's security.

All of that wrapped up in a committment to Democratic values and progressive progress.

We're very lucky to have him in office, and I just wanted to express that here.

Let's say for grins and giggles that Biden was a decent human being/politician back then.  Even if we accept that premise, that was 26 years ago.  A lot has changed in the world, and Biden is 26 years older, after not exactly being a spring chicken at that point in time.

The DUmp fly's argument falls like the strawman it is.

All Biden has ever done was bend over backwards for the credit card companies give them the freedom to raise interest rates to astronomical levels at their description. He failed to do anything for the American people, or to make an American a better place, he just worried about how much graft he could stuff in his pockets

I've had foolish thoughts that have no basis in reality and expressed them out loud to others all my life. I just wanted to say that here again.

Fixed.

Not until you go over the edge!  Then that proves true dedication to your cause. :thatsright: :-)

So far it's just been a very steep downhill. The cliff happens if he wins later this year.

You see, even if I had liked what Joe Biden once said and did, it's all too clear he isn't even that version of Joe Biden anymore.
